I was able to explain to USCIS his story of abuse and why he did not have documents showing a bonafideΒ marriage, the way he wrote his storyΒ did not convinceΒ USCIS at all.

I got affidavits with justΒ Β 3/5 pages and I Β asked Β the person Β afterΒ reading Β the affidavit Β over 100 questions,Β and then I wrote the affidavit again, and insteadΒ 3/5 pages the affidavitΒ had 15/20 pages, after I added Β what the person told me.

Nothing is impossible with Sandra....

I asked my attorney again if I can file AP on my own because she is really against travelling. She told me that I would have to sign a disclaimer if I wanted to proceed with filing AP in case my VAWA was denied as a result of the trip. I'm totally lost. I know a lot of people here have travelled with AP, but I also don't want her to feel I'm disrespecting her wishes. :(Β @sandranjΒ I sentΒ you a PM. Please help!!!! :(

Lawyer represent you in your own case, not the owner of your decision... If you really wants to travel you can sign the disclaimer and applied for the AP and travel, but if is NOT urgent, just follow your lawyer advise and wait patiently for your VAWA case to be approve.Β

Another uninformed attorney spotted!😏 how does VAWA get denied as a result of a trip?πŸ˜• it doesn't get weirder than this! There are other sensible and logical reasoning to employ...not this! She could say...it's much safer to travel when you have your Greencard..or something else in that line! If you feel you need to travel, go ahead and make the trip! Your vawa will NOT be denied because of it! She probably thinks you do not have a strong case! Hmmmm!😏

@Stillwinning!!!😊 @FeDaniela I am leaning towards listening to her since she invested so much time in me. I got a free attorney from the legal aide. I'm just missing my family so much but then I don't want to take any risks :(

My advise is to do so, for now. VAWA will be approved and plenty of time to visit your family just be patient .Β

If there's no emergency dear then be patient! Sometimes these people get some type of way when you go against their advice! But I do know your traveling won't impact negatively on your case! It's up to you...πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
