Bank statements?

Hello. I’ve been reading up on all the helpful threads on this forum since May, and finally made an account. I just had a question about the income requirement, affidavit of support part of the interview. I’m sorry if this is a dumb question or if it’s posted in the wrong place. What I’m asking about is whether I can print a copy of my personal bank statements (I’m the beneficiary) and use that as a “back up?”I know my fiancé meets the income requirements and he is currently working on the affidavit, but could it help to show that I have my own personal savings account that will be used to help with the AOS process, and the following months before I’m able to get a work permit? I’ve read that you shouldn’t bring a lot of unnecessary stuff to your visa interview so I wouldn’t want to bring it unless it could be useful.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this!! So many helpful people on this forum, don’t know what I would have done without this 😄

Bank statements of the Petitioner aren't even wanted the majority of the time, doubt the CO will want to see your bank statement

Okay, thank you. I thought it might help but I won’t bother with it then :)

If y'all are applying for a K1 then your income doesn't matter to them because once you move you will no longer have that income. They want to make sure your beneficiary can fully support you when you move so you're good. As far as bringing to much stuff it's better to have stuff that you don't need than not have it and need it. Anything you feel like you need take it just be organized with it.
