Our K1 Visa interview is next week and I am feeling a little nervous about our I 134. I was a full-time MBA student the last two years and graduated this May. I now have a full-time job and have two pay stubs from it and an employer letter. However, in my 2019 tax return the total income listed is $ 28,000 which is what I made from my summer internship. This is above the income requirement. However, I live in New York City and it really isnt possible to live on that in NYC. Has anyone faced any issues where they do not approve the visa because of concerns around income even if you meet the income requirement?

Thanks!

I am sure you meant 2018 tax return ;)    Anyway for two people your gross income from 2018 already exceeds the 125% requirements so you should be fine.   Only Alaska & Hawaii have special income requirements.

Hello everyone!! We have a joint sponsor.. my question is: will the joint sponsor fill form for both k1 and k2? Or do I (petitioner) fill form for one & the j. Sponsor the other?

You both complete a I-134 for the K-1 & another for the K-2
