Ah .. more details .. she file for a tourist visa earlier.  No big deal.

All she needs to do is bring the new DS-160 confirmation page to the interview, along with the confirmation page from scheduling the interview.

I hope you're right but not with my luck.

One is a Ds-160 confirmation number, one is an appointment confirmation number. Nowhere in the quoted part it says both should be same. It said it should be correctly entered this is something you do when taking the appointment itself.

How did you get your MNL# ?  I called NVC on the phone.  Pretty painless actually.  No e-mail yet although I did send for one as you suggested.

CEAC status does not show READY?    I don't know how to check that.

then in regard to your case file and where is it-   NVC does not release the MNL# until the case file ships to the embassy

Under the Scheduling Interview tab, very first paragraph .. CEAC link is there

Not true,  NVC will release the case # as soon as it is assigned,  and it could be two days to two weeks before it ships

Still at NVC.  I called them again and they said there was no way to predict.

Ceac.state.gov,  easier than calling.   Track on nonimmigrant tracker.   NVC ships every other Tues,  it will go  in the next shipment

YMMV

What I care about is when they will send my e-mail.

Once your ceac status goes "in transit" then email should be forthcoming shortly

Thanks for some timely answers.  I don't suppose you have any inside info on how to get in touch with someone inside USEM who can fix this problem I have with mis-matched confirmation numbers do you?

That seems to be the unofficial consensus however I'm going to continue to try to make it official.  My fiance belongs to a chat group of women who all have fiance visas in process.  My fiance posed this question to the group and those that answered all said theirs didn't match either and they were accepted for interview.  It's hard for me to believe that I'm the first person on VJ to ask this question but the lack of replies from members would indicate that's the case.  I'm told Monday is a Philippine holiday so this debate must wait until Tuesday when I will try to contact USEM unless someone with personal knowledge chimes in.  Thanks to all who responded.

I don't believe it is an issue because the interview appointment number is an IV unit issued "case" number and the DS160 has a NIV unit issued "case" number,  so they never will match

YMMV
