Yeah. :) You apply for nonimmigrant visa when filing the DS-160 but to check the status of it you have to go back and check under immigrant Visa.

Ok good :) Just making sure, as there have been instances where people have checked the wrong box at the time of going in to schedule an interview, and if it's done wrong no one actually alerts you until they discover it a week or so before the interview and the consulate flat cancels it on you. I've seen it more than enough on here.

K1 Visa:
Filed I-129f 4/14/2018

NOA1 6/24/2019

Biometrics 7/15/2019

EAD/AP Approved 11/12/2019

Interview 2/20/2020 (Approved pending missing medical)
Approved 3/23/2020

ROC:
Filed I-751 2/15/2022

Case Received 2/17/2022
Text message received 2/22/2022

Yeah that sounds about right lol. I kept getting scared that I selected the wrong one. Hopefully that's not the case if it let us schedule the interview.

For anyone who wants to track yesterday's shipment from NVC to the consulate in Montreal, here's the waybill # and DHL info.

Thank-you VisaJourney DHL tracking hack. ;)

I got packet 4 weeks ago and there was only one available interview date at the time (October 30th). 😕 Glad we got a date though. Good luck on yours! I think you have to just keep checking over and over every hour but I'm not 100% sure when it updates.

It is exciting but also worried. Noticed that last interview date here is for Oct 30. Our petition expires on Nov 12.  I know that the CO can extend it but hoping to get in by then. Also, we are leaving for the Philippines in the first week of Dec. Hopefully my passport will be with me before that.

Thanks!!!

Our petition will be expired by the interview date. There were literally no possible dates before the expiration period.

Wow! Right on the exact date. At least, there will be no extra waiting time for the extension. Hopefully, we'll have it on or before the expiration date as well.

Good luck!!!

Good luck to you as well. How often are you checking for interview dates? Let us know if you get one. :)

Thanks! Will definitely let the group know.

For those who have completed the DS-160, did you get your photo taken at a passport place or did you take it yourself? If I got them taken at a photo place, could I use the same pictures for the interview and/or medical as well? Thanks 🙂

i went to a photo studio that takes photo of any sizes, not only passport photos. and i specified to provide me 2x2 photos.

yes, im planning to use the same photos. i will go to walmart and print additional photos of 2x2 sizes (photo to photo printing and then cut it for the 2x2 size. cheaper way to do it. ;)
