@Jared&Roxy did not get asked because is already a citizen and when you fill out initial application a copy of passport is already sent.

 

I've seen those that are on work permit, study visa, green card holder because with initial application we only send a copy of passport. And if you are not a citizen of Canada, the passport is from your country of citizen and that lets immigration to know to ask for status.

My visa has a typo on it so I emailed the consulate and am waiting to hear back. I'll probably have to get it reprinted, sigh.

 

Good thing I didn't start packing yet I guess haha (as if I wouldn't procrastinate packing either way)

Hi guys, is there a difference between Administrative Processing when its still in the immigrant stage vs. Non-immigrant stage? 

 

I am currently at non-immigrant AP, if I understand correctly "Issued" is my next step?

Yes you’ll be issued  by next week. Good luck mostly people see that issued In less than a week.

How long were you in Administrative processing immigrant visa? Or were you approved right away at interview?

Yes I was approved on the spot Jan 22 and I was done immigrant AP yesterday. Today I went into non- immigrant application received and now administrative processing. 

 

Hoping that means I just have Issuing left on monday or tuesday.

my fiancé was requested to send back his passport to US Montreal.

But the passport was kept at the interview.

this was asked on January 21, 2020.

please any help is appreciated.

 

what should we do at this point.

You can join the Canadian k1 and spousal visa group on Facebook and then post this. The group has a lot of experienced people and they’ll help you in every way.
