visa Issued! AIS website still says “Status: Appointment” but CEAC says issued. Whew. Sweet relief.

Yay! Me too ☺️ finally you can leave Montreal soon!

How do you know that? My tracking does not give a delivery date. I assumed it was going to be tomorrow

Oh that's weird! Mine took a few hours for it to be able to be tracked on Canada Post. The tracking shows estimated delivery is the 9th for me. I will be picking mine up at the post office, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference?

Oh hell naw! Mine said that after a while too. I wasn’t having it. I called and picked mine up at the depot at 630. Couldn’t stand to be here a moment longer than necessary. We are off tomorrow morning!

Hey guys,

i just checked the Ceac website and it says “issued”. How long should I expect to receive it by? I check the ais website and it still says appointment. Any help is appreciated! Thank you and congrats to everyone :)

Canada Post seems to be having some delays - Mine shipped out on the 4th and was expected in Ottawa by the 5th, but didn't come in until yesterday (the 9th).

Either way, shouldn't be too long

Our interview in Montreal is next month. The Consulate's website talks about the "free courier service" that you must register for before the interview. Are there any options for how the Passport/Visa is sent to you that might speed things up a bit? Canada Post would not be my first choice.

Removal of conditions

05-02-23 I-751 sent via FedEx.

05-03-23 I-751 delivered to USCIS address in Tempe AZ.

05-09-23 Check for $680 cashed.

05-15-23 Received I-797 NOA (48-month extension). A separate letter saying biometrics to be re-used. A third letter giving online access code.

There's a courier service via Purolator, but it sure isn't free -- it'll cost you $21 to sign up for it. I recommend it though, as I trust Canada Post about as far as I can throw them. My status changed to "Issued" and I got the email re: my passport at noon on the 4th, and I received my passport and no-touchy immigration papers by 2 PM the next day (Montreal to Nova Scotia).

Thanks for this Thrillhouse. Does one sign-up and pay for the Purolator service at the time they "register" for the courier service then?
