Hi!

Does anyone know about the NVC Case numbers?

We've just received ours but it isn't the SYD prefix that we were expecting coming from Australia and knowing that our Consulate is the Sydney consulate. Instead we have a CJD prefix.

Is this something to be alarmed about?

Maybe I should email them regarding this.

Any ideas?

Much appreciated to ease ones' mind.

Cheers,

Pris.

In you situation I would call NVC and send an e-mail. That way any potential problem can be fixed now and save you time and trouble in the end.

When I e-mailed NVC it took 3 days to get a a resonpse, but when they did reply it was a specific answer to my question about my case (no more generic USCIS-type info). Be sure to include your USCIS WAC# in the e-mail.

I'd call them. The NVC # is (603) 334-0700, and by pressing 1 (for English) and than 5 you can speak to an operator.

Also: I couldn't find CJD, but CDJ appears to be Ciudad Juarez, Mexico

Good luck!

Thanks Erica & DA..!

I have my real number now and it does start with SYD. They had put a 3 instead of an 8 in the email they sent confirming the move to NVC so I did a check with the number on the NOA and it was there.

So glad I'm not following someone else' visa journey...lol.

Thanks again. :)

I thought that CJD was Creutzfeld-Jacob Disease (sometimes called Mad Cow Disease). You can't get it from NVC :)

Jamaica case numbers start with a KNG. How do we track it to see when it has gone to the embassy?

I have that same question. I'm just estimating that it should only take a week.

Gosh I hope so for both of our sakes!!!!

Maybe we will have interviews around the same time? I won't be there though but I know Marlon will do fine. I still need to send a bunch of stuff to him!
