I've been around quite awhile, longer than you actually, although I did admittedly spend some years away. I had a different account, but have since lost the password. It was part of my older life anyway, so even if I could be arsed to recover it, I wouldn't want to.

But to your (seemingly) real point, what exactly have I said that was a misrepresentation of this forum? Is it not a bastion of reason? Do the liberals not show up, only to leave quickly?

I'm sure the moderators could help you recover your former account.

But please, don't put words into my mouth. Never did I claim you misrepresented anything. You claim it is a bastion of reason but this is just your perspective. It is nothing more than a forum filled with differing opinions - neither right nor wrong, reasoned or illogical, but different. This country wouldn't be a Democratic Republic if we all thought the same thing like sheeple. As to 'liberals' I wouldn't know. People come and go, and seemingly reappear with different personas to match all the time. They leave and reappear for their own reasons. That's the same thing everywhere.

Oh Boris, we like ourselves don't we?

Theresa May did the best she could from two pampered little boys who, like in their days in the Bullingdon Club, like to smash things up and walk out without paying. I suspect you won't like what a hard Brexit will do to your investments, if they are real.

Anyway, back to the subject - quitting one gym and joining another (or opting to exercise at home) isn't nearly as stupid as setting your Nike shoes on fire and posting pictures on social media. I have a glorious pair of special edition Nikes in gold, and could not imagine such an act of vandalism.

Had to give up Nike’s, they did nothing for my plantar fasciitis.  Love New Balance.

I appreciate the advice, but as I mentioned that account is part of my former life. I'd rather a clean break.

Perhaps I was too hasty in my reply. I didn't mean to put words in your mouth, and you are of course correct that certain perspectives are subjective. Although my subjective perspectives tend to be the right ones. 😂

It's my one liberal quality. I have to love myself before I can love others. 😉

Oh we could have a sit down at the local all night and talk about how May failed the country. But the short of it is, she failed, and she will be remembered as a failure. I'll wager Boris will be remembered much more favourably.

My investments will be fine, even if the naysayers are, like a stopped clock, right once. Diversity is key.

We are mostly agreed here, although I lack any special edition trainers. But the gym boycott is farcical. Equinox et al provide a service whether or not the chairman holds a fundraiser. If you ladies are getting a bit of a tummy, the treadmill at Equinox is going to burn more calories than rage tweeting.

This reads like a rage tweet. Pilates is better to flatten the washboards - being a fan of Boris, Trump and the like I suspect you may need to burn a few more calories on the treadmill, but when you've done that I can give you pilates tips to really get nice abs. You'll thank me for it. And pilates centers you, so it will calm your inner rage.

Happy Friday Boris!

Five mornings a week, sometimes six if I can make it to my club on the weekend. Squash when I can fit it in. My abs are doing very well, thank you. 😉

To you as well Ms. Page. And remember, don't skip leg day. Keep those shiny Nikes moving! 😉

I decided to put my money where my mouth is and have cancelled my Equinox membership -- that's $300 back in my pocket every month! I occasionally go to SoulCycle classes too, scratch that off the list. There are so many other gyms around here that cost less -- I just got used to going there because I used to go to the one in Pasadena. I figure if people were outraged by Target having gender neutral kids' toys aisles and adopting a transgender friendly bathroom policy and stopped shopping there, I could stop going to a fancy gym!

Holy what the heck. A 300 a month Gym..

I don't get it either. I'll stick with yoga, walking/hiking, and pilates. Dancing video games with calorie counters are also pretty fun and do work well. Unless you're really big into training... the fees are ridiculous.
