Is Cebu still available as a location to request for my fiancee's interview( it's closer) or is it only Manila now? Thx

approx. 1/3/08 - starting to wish VSC staff acquire untreatable stinkfoot

1/17/08 Ombudsman filed formal inquiry.

Touched 2/3 ... wow that was fast, only 8 months to get around to us

Approved 2/20 NOA2

Case arrived Manila USE 3/4

Interview scheduled April 22!

Medical 4/14

Approved!! Interview on 4/22 - just one question!

Visa in hand May 10, whew!

I've never heard of Cebu being an option for an interview (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). A friend of mine and his fiancee went through Manila in 2003 and she's from Cebu so if it was an option I would expect they would have used it instead. You can get the CFO sticker in Cebu though.

I believe that Cebu USED to be a point for interviews, a filipina living in York that I know had her interview there, but that was more than four years ago. I'm pretty sure all interviews are conducted at the USE in Manila now. As I understand it, the Cebu facility offers only "limited" services as it is only a consular agency and not a full-blown embassy.

All interviews are (now) done at USEM-MAnila. Your fiancee will have to rent a place near SLEC and USEM for her medical and interview. If there's someone she knows who have the same schedule as hers, maybe they can rent and share the place?

All of the visa interviews are held at the US Embassy in Manila. The only option between Cebu and Manila that the beneficiary has is where he/she attendances the Guidance and Counceling Seminar for the Commission of Filipinos Overseas (CFO), which is a requirement POST receipt of the approved visa in order to travel outside of the Phils for spouses and fiance(e)s of US Citizens.

:thumbs: for CFO, visa needs to be in hand for the stamp in your passport. the seminar can be attended at any time.
