Do you all declare what you bring to Jamaica evertime you go? I have alot of things this time almost 200 dollars worth of stuff i am wondering how much they will charge me. Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks.

When I go to Jamaica I normally bring things for any and everybody. I have family there as well as friends and my husbands family. If I were to pay it would be thru the roof. Normally I pay for "overage" on the plane but nothing else. When they ask if I have anything for anyone my answer is always NO. They won't search you. If you say yes they will charge you a lot at customs.

everything in my suitcase belongs to me and if it doesn't it. I'm meeting my sister and she or one of her many children forget something and I have to bring it for them.

I never declare anything...and I carry stuff for the family everytime that I go, there was times when half the stuff in the suitcase wasn't mine :lol: and I had a child's backpack on my back full of school supplies.

Thanks for the advice! i was worried that one day they just might check me since i go every month! I have two pairs sneakers and shorts that are the same. I just imagine me gettin carried off to some jail somewhere lol but like you said i can say its for whoever im meeting :thumbs:

I always declare my items when I go to Jamaica. They barely look in the bag and tell me to keep on trucking. One girl ask me how much did the dvd player cost that's it. And we all know DVD players are very affordable these days. I'm thinking I should just start going to the not declaring items line, now, since they never charge me.

oh really im up here still worrying about it. i have some shirts and sneakers. did you go through the under 100 dollar line or that other line? not sure of when you last went but the airport in mobay has changed.
