I contacted ACS once they said they would transfer my request to IV department. Then, when I had more information to give then they told me they cant help me and to not contact them about immigration.

Really I am sitting the fence on contacting Senator. I know what they are supposed to do, but they arent doing what they are supposed to do in other areas. Headed down that corruption pathway. I just have to decide if it will hurt my case to contact Senator. The really crappy thing is my Senator is an immigrant.  Hypocrite.

Im tired of ppl thinking Iraqis and Muslims are terrorist. We did every security check and document and plenty of other things that proves my husband isnt a threat to the USA. But it doesn’t matter. No one cares. Im more than depressed about this.

I understand, this is saddening. You guys were so close. As for the Senator, I'm not sure what your concerns are, but it's certainly your decision and you need to feel comfortable with it. I imagine the worst that can happen is that they don't do anything. Do you have a democratic congress person? They could help too.

Congressperson will find out what the current situation is, in AP, but can not make the case process faster.

Correct, but if there’s a process error on DOS side and the congressperson happens to be an engaged one, they may be able to get them to proceed in an expedited manner. Attorney should attempt the same.

Ok so just that I understand correct:

- you have visa approval in writing from the embassy?

- you sent passport upon request

- they returned passport and said case is back in AP again and it shows “refused” on ceac? Or do they have the passport now and it says “Administrative Processing” on CEAC status tracker?

i would still ask senators and congress people to reach out.

wait, how can one get senators or congress involved?? I never knew that!!

i'm a NY resident what should i do to get them involved?

You go to their website they usually have a form that you fill out and email to them. Where in the process are you and what is your problem? Please fill out your timeline which then helps others with statistics on Visajourney

Definitely worth doing at least you know someone will have checked rather than getting the automated response.

Thank you

I tried many times updating my timeline but always showing error and won't let me continue

My wife file still at NVC waiting for Ankara Turkey to accept her for an interview

DQd 6 months ago still nothing

mainly because Ankara is processing Turkish citizen and residents only because we were transferred from Baghdad as well after the embassy was shutdown.

we tried to expedite but was denied twice so we're just waiting for them to open for others 😢

I thought Ankara has started accepting non-residents but they must self-quarantine for 10 days upon arrival. It's possible that they just haven't reached your DQ yet. HKS was DQ I believe in May 2020 and only got an interview in December because they expedited the case.

If your wife is in Iraq you could try another expedite. The situation there is getting worse every week with the frequent attacks. Have you tried recently? NY has Democrats so you can ask the Senator to inquire about an expedite due to the situation in Iraq. If any of the attacks happened close to your spouses home (e.g. less than 10 km) you can mention that too to explain how urgent it is.

It took me 4 tries and one year to expedite. Always sending proof of life in danger.

I tried to expedite twice, each with strong reasons like the situation in Iraq is getting worse because of Iran backed militia danger on minorities especially those who are married to American citizens, they are the best targets. Not to mention the worst healthcare system on EARTH and how COVID is getting out of control in Iraq, and her father lost their source of income and its hard for them to keep up with their daily needs etc....

They said they need a proof, how on earth can I send any proof of all this? isn't raining the embassy with mortars enough?  W.H.O Iraq COVID stats isn't enough? the news isn't enough?

crazy thing is, the US bombed Shia terrorist headquarter literally 6 miles away from my wife's house, her house was slightly damaged not from the air strike but from the explosion of ammo storage ,and they were so enraged that they start kidnapping locals because they believed they're the ones who reported their hideouts.

we are emotionally effected and she's going crazy, all we can do is wait, but ill contact NY Senator, hopefully he/she can help a little bit.

Quote the DOS report. Research DOS did themselves. Google it

But expedite didnt help us. We are stuck in AP.
