L2 Visa how to apply for green card

Hi, I'm holding a L2 visa, and my wife's holding a L1B visa. But her company is not willing to sponsor her green card application.

I'm applying for EAD, when I get EAD, I'll find a job. And I want to know

1. how can I get a green card? what's the procedure?

2. Do I need to adjust my L2 visa to H1B?

3. Is there any other types of visa I can apply?

1.  Find an employer who is willing to sponsor you for a green card.  This isn't going to be easy.

2.  If you can qualify for an H1b and can get a US employer to file on your behalf.  This is for a work visa and not for a green card.

3.  No.

 

It's not so easy to just immigrate to the US.  You need a US employer who qualifies to file for a green card on your behalf.  Not so easy.

You currently have no basis to apply for permanent residency in the US.

You can attempt to find an employer willing to petition you. Their attorney would initiate the process.

EAD will allow you to work for anyone unlike your Spouse so just get a job with someone who will sponsor you for a GC.

It's not so easy to just immigrate to the US.  You need a US employer who qualifies to file for a green card on your behalf.  Not so easy.

Thanks.  Actually I have contacted some companies, there is one company would like to provide the documents for the application, but It has not processed this application. So I'm still waiting for my EAD.

An EAD and an employer willing to petition you are separate matters.

The EAD lets you work.

The petition is necessary for the work visa or immigrnt visa.

You mean now I can start the EB2 process if this company is willing to help me?

There is nothing you need for the EB2 process apart from an Employer willing to get it going, you do not need a L.
