Disregard what I wrote about the return label, it's just my original label 😂

Hi, just a Q.

For the form I-751, did you write the apt. number on the address line 1 or you checked off the apt. then write the number in the box? It doesn't let me type the apartment number in the box lol. I am not sure what to do with it. Thank you-

Yea, I checked the apartment box, which unlocked the apartment number field (which, I think, why they couldn’t process my card, because usually I write my billing address as street number + name + apartment in the same line).

I think their forms only work with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is the only reason I keep that software on my Mac.

Indeed...Preview on the Mac is often problematic with forms created in Acrobat.  Highly recommend sticking with the Reader.

We are August filers.  Mailed to the Dallas drop box on August 3rd. Good luck to all the August Filers and those that filed before that.

We got the extension letter about a week ago, and notification that the check was cashed a few days later.  Thought the extension was only for 12 months, but it is an 18 month extension.

Has anyone crossed the bridge of trying to renew your drivers license with the extension letter? I guess most people here's GC's aren't expired yet so neither are their licenses but I'm a bit worried about them giving us a hard time with the expired GC and extension letter...

I'm from Orlando and I know for sure that one of my friend did renew his Drivers license with the extension letter without any issues. You can also get a endorsement of the extension letter from the local immigration office on your passport showing your validity to stay and work.I am positive you would not have a problem.

I renewed my drivers license with my extension letter last friday! It was absolutely no problem at all. All they needed was my old drivers license (that expires next month), my green card, the extension letter, my SSN card and a bank statement in my name sent to our address, to prove residency. The lady who was helping me simply had to make a call somewhere, but that's it. Getting my new drivers license in the mail within the next 2 weeks :)

Edit: I just remembered the lady telling me that the day before they had another person coming in, also renewing their drivers license with a Green Card extension letter. I don't know if that was the reason why it went so smooth for me - because they knew the process then - but long story short it shouldn't be a problem!

Hello Guys,

Getting ready to file ROC and had a quick question. Does anyone know if I can elect to have the case handled by another field office? Minneapolis field office has a 2 year waitlist if not more for ROC and I'm more than happy to travel elsewhere if its possible or anyone has heard of that?

My issue is that I am an airline pilot and we travel frequently especially in the winter months to international destinations. I know I would get a "extension letter" but really don't want to risk anything or have hassles when I'm coming back into the US. Do you think I would have problems? Is there a way even if it does go to the Minneapolis office I can somehow request to expedite for my job or am I SOL?

Good luck to everyone!

Hello,

I don't think your ROC may be transferred to a different field office or jurisdiction unless you reside now to another state. The I-751 is soo backlog even longer than AOS I think, thats why they began issuing receipt notices to extend our GC for 18 months. USCIS is now taking 1-2 years to adjudicate the ROC application, irrespective of whether the petition was filed jointly or as a waiver of the filing jointly.

You may contact the USCIS to make the request to expedite but the chances of the request being granted are not that favorable. Also, during the process of ROC you may have to respond to an RFE , interview, etc while you're outside the US.

Good Luck! I will be filing my ROC this week

Hi guys. Quick question, I am a bit confused here. So i am gathering our docs to file for ROC, I received few days ago a letter from USCIS...a reminder that my conditional would expire. It said also on the letter that I have to submit a copy of the Green Card of any children who received conditional permanent status under my marriage. Now my question is, should we include my 2 children, knowing that their GC is not expiring until 2020? Because they followed to join under K2 visa a year later after me. I don't want our case to be rejected because the kids GC expiration date is not up yet. What do you think?

If you change you field office after the i751 petion trust me easily there will be another 6months delay just for changing your field office. So do whatever you have to do before filing the i751.You can see the waiting times for i751 applications on USCIS website and based on that you can take a call.
