Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing well. Im not sure where I can find advice on this or if any of you know, but can I travel home ( to my home country?) after filing I-751 and have not received an update yet. My green card only expires on January 25 2019, but I have a family emergency back home now that requires me to leave immediately. Does anyone know anything? I filed last week packet was delivered Wednesday and have not got anything back.

there should not ba a problem since your GC is not expired yet. i travelled outside US last august and my GC expired Oct 2019. i didn't encounter any problem back then, they just told me to send my papers immediately when i arrived back here.

Text message that case was received and I-797 is on the way on 8/12

Texas Service Center.

Received ASC Appointment Notice for Biometrics on 11/2/19, dated 10/25/19. Appointment is set for 11/13/19.

Does anyone have any experience with rescheduling biometrics appointments? I'll be in Boston on a work trip that has been scheduled for a long time and it's a very important meeting for my career and my company. If I do reschedule it, I figure I need to send it out today or tomorrow at the latest. Any thoughts? tips? ideas?

Out of curiosity, what was the reasoning for your expedite request? The Removal of conditions process doesn't really have a need to be expedited for almost any reason since it doesn't affect anything in one's personal life, in my opinion.

Regardless, whether or not you'll get a biometrics and interview appointment depends entirely on your case. It could really go either way.

Yes, unfortunately I have to exit and enter the US monthly with my line of work and it has caused some issues with foreign countries not recognizing the green card extension letter ( in cases where a green card acts as a visa waiver for foreign states). A colleague even was denied boarding back a flight into the USA because they said her green card was expired and the airline did not want to recognize the letter.

Me too. This is the first time see someone can expedite the ROC.

Filed i-751 in the mid of august.
Just received a letter from uscis for biometric appointment at Seattle uscis office, on the last week of December. It takes 4 months from the day of form i-751 acceptance at Phoenix center, to schedule appointment. Next week will travel to Canada with expired GC and extension letter, hope will be no issues.
