Mine was submitted August 6th and still no biometrics appointment. My center is WAC, California, who’s processing yours?

There is no reason to be concerned whatsoever as long as you have your receipt number.

The timing of the biometrics appointment can go from roughly a month after the submission of one's files, to 12 or more months. Some people don’t even have to go at all, which is the best.

Bottom line is don’t go crazy over the biometrics appointment. It does not matter in the slightest bit when you’ll be scheduled for it, as long as you have your receipt number.

Mine is Texas Service Center in Dallas, TX, I was wondering if the nature of case matters on processing time, We are CR-1.

My application is with the Nebraska centre, they received it on the 21st August and no biometrics letter yet. This centre seems to be quite slow though, and I'm not expecting an update for a few more months.

Hello August filers!

I have a question... So when I went through the AOS interview process with my husband, the officer said that he couldn't approve his greencard because I didn't prove to them that I was a USC. I obtained my citizenship through my parents naturalization when I was 17 y.o. and right after that I got my US passport. He said that a US passport isn't evidence that I'm a USC. WHAT? The officer asked me for greencard at the interview but its literally the ONE piece of document I didn't have with me. He said that if I had it with me he would have approved it on the spot as he could've ran the # through their system and it would've showed that I was in fact a USC. He gave us an RFE on the spot so the day after I submitted copies of my greencard along with my parents' Natualization Certificates and then received the greencard a week later. During the interview, the officer did say that I should probably apply for a certificate of citizenship when we leave the room, grab an application downstairs and start working on it.. This was in 2017 and I never did because I honestly just forgot.. my question is- Is it needed?  I mean ultimately I AM a USC with a US passport. Is it worth spending the extra $1,170 on a document that I will probably never again need in my life? Or will this effect his I-751 or even his n-400? Does anyone know? I read everywhere that a US Passport is proof enough of a USC so what gives?

n-400 Timeline (husband) filed under 3 year marriage rule

(day 1) Submitted application & payment online (online ETA October 2021) 10/23/2020

(day 113) Biometric reuse letter mailed 2/12/2021

(day 279) Text saying there is an update to our cases, interview scheduled for August 26, 2021 7/29/2021

(day 322) Oath ceremony will be scheduled 9/10/2021

(day 327) Oath ceremony scheduled for Oct 1st 9/14/2021
