How much time after your status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview " did you wait for the EAD to be approved? I'm so discouraged... Called USCIS yesterday(again) and they said I have to wait 7 1/2 months to even file an inquiry

It seems there isnt a standard time for this Marcela.

I have seen people getting the EAD in three months but it can take longer than that.

This is not clear process and all decision are taking in a black box.

Hi all just received my interview letter. I have several questions:

1) in the letter I am required to bring Government issued photo identification, such as driving license or ID. May I know is this refer to US Driving License or Real ID Card? Do i have to apply dl or real ID before the interview? i am confused...Or I can bring along my home-country ID?

2) the medical examination (I-693) - I have submitted DS3025 when i applied for AOS I-485 (applied from K1). My vaccination date done for K1 Visa was in Jan 2019. My current interview date is in mid of Feb. Do i have to re-do all the health screening?

the status changed but then i received my interview notice today! intv date - 2/12. how about you?

Hi

-Your significant other must bring a government issue ID and you need to bring your passport along with any other document issued by the government

-It seems you dont need to do a medical again.

Congrats for the interview!

Still waiting for something... no news on EAD or a interview. Don’t know how much longer I can take like this, I just want to be able to work.

In my particular case the review of my REF took 4 weeks, setting an interview in Boston took another 4 weeks. The only "standard" time is the 4 weeks wait to be scheduled for the USCIS interview in Boston.

I really just want something to give to my employer to say okay I’m waiting for this to arrive such as interview letter or EAD card. Right now I have nothing to give them such as to say I’ve been approved for this etc etc... just scared of losing this job offer as it is a great job for me to start but just playing the waiting game still every week.

Just got a notification “new card is being produced” :D

Congraaaats!!!! Finally you got it :D I just got the same notification today too!! I thought that day would never come LOL!

Did you get that only for the EAD or even for the AP? in my case on the mobile app it says "New card being produced" only for the EAD so I'm confused lol the AP is still the same as before...

So I have two questions for anyone who has been through this before:

1/ About the EAD: after receiving the email saying "new card is being produced" how long until you really receive the combo card? and how long until you receive the SSN?

2/ About the AP: Can you travel to your home country for a short period with the AP by yourself and re-enter the US or do you have to be with your spouse and not alone?

Thank you!

I am glad to see some people's cases are moving along. My wife and I are still waiting on interview notice but we are thankful her EAD arrived.

As a heads up to others, my wife's EAD and social security card arrived within a week of getting the 'new card is being produced' status.

Did the Card and the social security arrive in the same day? or was there a difference?

Hey all!

I'm curious if there are other updates after 'card being produced'? I've heard 'approved' comes also. Is that before or after. Ring produced?

Also what have everyone's timeline been from each update as well as from being produced to receiving the EAD in hand?
