You have to call them and ask that you need to talk with the local office. That happened to me I never received my biometrics letter, I call to USCIS customer service twice but they said that everything was fine. Finally I got in contact with the local office and they said that my biometrics appointment was a month ago.... (All that time waiting :()  So they rescheduled the appointment right away.

Can you tell me how you got to talk to the local office? Did you set up an appointment?

I've called the customer service to ask the contact info of my local office, and the lady said she doesn't have the information nor she can transfer the call to the local office.

My Timeline (St. Louis, MO):

08/23 USCIS received

08/27 NOA

09/25 Call USCIS for service inquiry (Biometrics Letter), never got the answer

10/14 RFIE

10/29 RFIE Received

11/05 Call USCIS again for service inquiry (Biometrics Letter), never got the answer

11/29 Biometrics Letter Received

12/09 Biometrics appointment (Code 2). They've only taken my index finger's fingerprint

12/13 Another Biometrics Letter Received (Code 3)

12/20 EAD Card is being produced

12/24 Biometrics Appointment scheduled -> Cancelled due to executive order

12/30 EAD Card Received

01/08 Supposedly the rescheduled biometrics appointment, but couldn't make it.

01/15 Did the Walk-in Biometrics!

Can I expedite form I-765 with just a job offer or does it need to be financial loss for them to approve it? Thanks.

Looking at your timeline, you should have the EAD in a couple of weeks anyway. No point even attempting to expedite.

You’ll definitely get your card before they even entertain an expedite request. You have to show financial hardship, and I’m guessing you don’t have that since your spouse would have filed an I-864.

Doesn't everyone file I-864? You can still show financial hardship if your wife loses a job and a lot of other reasons.. That being said, I agree you should get your card before they even entertain your expedite request so I would recommend hold your horses, otherwise no harm in trying to expedite anyway.

Hi!

This is the only way to expedite your EAD! you can probe a financial loss for an american company!

Yes, you can :)

Also: you need to specify the job offer and the financial loss when asking to EAD

If you are lucky, it will take a week to get the EAD

No, I didn't set an appointment they transferred the call. But it was a long waiting on the line. I suggest call first thing in the morning and say that you need to reschedule the biometrics appointment because you didn't receive the notice on the mail.. if they said that they can't do it ask that you need to speak with someone who have more information of your case. When I called the guy on customer service said that they don't have access to see when the biometrics appointment was ( for him I should keep waiting) .  but , they do can transfer you with someone that have that information. I really hope it works for your.

Right, everyone files an I-864, but by saying you have financial hardship due to job loss will make the I-864 sponsorship void because you have to meet the 125% mark, which shows no financial hardship. Expediting a work permit this late on is just not worth it

It doesn't make anything void. Stop giving out incorrect information. It is upto USCIS to decide if it is a valid reason to expedite or not. Everyone does show 125% mark when they have a job, when they loose a job due to any reason like medical, it doesn't void it because it's temporary. I have seen lots of expedite requests being approved for that reason itself, it just needs to be compelling enough and genuine. That being said, expediting this late is not worth the effort.

A I-864 will not be accepted at interview if the 125% criteria is not met. You will need a joint sponsor - this isn’t incorrect information.

At the time of interview, not at the time of expediting EAD. Incomplete information is worse.
