When you have a green card you don't need an EAD/AP, it's a resident status so it's better in terms of what you show your employer to get a job.

The EAD/AP is to travel outside of the country and to work, have a social security number and all the benefits that come with it. These are included in the green card, so it is a good thing. Plus applying for EAD/AP is free when applying for AOS. It used to be faster to get your EAD/AP but lately the green card has been faster 🤷‍♀️

Mine has been received 16 days ago so it's a bit reassuring to see I'm not the only one waiting... I hope you will both get news very soon ! Have you tried calling USCIS ? It worked for some people to make their case move !

Since we are not outside of normal processing times they won’t tell us much if anything. As far as making their cases move, I really feel it is more coincidental than actually a result of calling in. I could be wrong. The wait is hard, but worth it in the end.

Hi! I’m hoping someone can clarify what I believe to be true, I did post a while ago with the information directly from the I-485 instructions.

K-1 holders who had a medical in their home country are not required to attend the interview with a I-693 right?

Hi

I think you do not need the I-693 if you did the medical less than a year ago;

Otherwise, USICS would have asked you to take with you that document to the interview.

Also, it is important to focus on gathering documents that probe your marriage is bonafide :)

Finally they updated the website.

Hi Cata,

did you call USCIS to check on your case status?

and if you did, where did you call?

I believe no one has theirs yet and many are getting green card interviews first

Ideally , EAD/AP would come earlier than interview so you can keep up with your life lol, but later on  I've seen that let's say your GC was scheduled for Jan 1st . You would be getting EAD days before interview or not at all, causeyou already have temporal GC
