Getting married is not necessary for and does not affect applying for SSN. I've applied right upon arrival and certainly before getting married and got it in 4 weeks. I needed it to open a bank account, get my learners permit and hopefully drivers license soon, to get added to my husband's insurance plan. We have an issue now that they wouldn't add my minor son, because SSA refused to give him a SSN and they wouldn't add anyone who doesn't have it. If you don't need all that stuff right now or anytime soon, you may rest assured that you will get it along with your EAD/AP combo card.

Thanks.

I opened account without SSN and they added me to my husband's insurance plan without SSN as well.

Just got my biometric appointment letter on Friday 09/27 for Wednesday 10/09. Took a month since I got my first NOAs :(

Also the ASC office is different and far away from my last time I did my biometric and citizenship test. We also want to try walking in to a different office at different date, but we didn’t wanna risk to be turned away or mess up our process.

Concurrent marriage-based filing I-130, I-130A, I-485 , I-864, I-765, I-693

08/24/19 - sent by USPS

08/26/19 - I-130 received

09/03/19 - I-485 processed

09/04/19 - received text notifications

Hi Guys,

I did my biometrics on September 19, I made my USCIS website account a week later and plugged in the four case numbers I have for AOS. I’ve checked multiple times and it still says “Fingerprint Fee Was Received” (dated August 29, that’s when they cashed the money orders).

Does anybody here who has issues as well with their case numbers not being updated?

There is not issue at all, sometimes case status just doesn’t get updated at all or it takes a while. You also can check old USCIS website egov.uscis.gov. I was getting updates there faster rather than on my uscis.

You need to mail it to the lockbox in Chicago. I believe.

My statuses are still the same as well after doing biometrics on the 17th, no updates have been made.  They don't seem to be always proactive with updating sometimes.

It's a long waiting game, July filers are only starting to get 'interview ready to be scheduled'

Last 2016, my husband and her ex wife filed their tax together. (status: marriage filing joint)

On AOS application, in  I 864 form income tax reported for 2016,2017,2018 with tax transcript needs to be provided.

Do we need to include my husband’s ex-wife salary too? or we can just write his total income tax and exclude the other?

Thank you❤️
