Super late update, but we just received the approval letter for both I-130 and I-485.

Our interview was supposed to be March 25th and got cancelled. So they rescheduled to Sept 8th.

Our officer was very nice and at the end of interview, he reassured us that he didn’t find anything wrong with our case and that he will approve. 3 hours after, I got the notification from the case tracker “NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED” 😄

On Sept 11th, status was changed to “Card was mailed to me”. My husband finally received his GC on Sept 16th. Since USCIS is starting to increase their fees, I was worried that we would need to save up more $$$ to renew his GC in 2 years.. I was so shocked when I saw his GC expire in 2030! We were approved for the 10-year GC!!

Good luck to those still waiting for an update. Wishing you all the best.

Congrats!! That’s wonderful!

How long have you been married? If it’s been two years or more you are supposed to get the 10 year green card.

If you’ve been married for less than 2 years, you should contact USCIS.

I’ve seen something like this happen before and unfortunately it’s our responsibility to report a mistake on their end (even if it’s a good one like this lol).

Fantastic news! I’m trying not to get my hopes up this time until I’m actually in the interview room! 😂 I can’t take another cancellation!

I hope your interview goes well.   We are in Denver too, filed in late January.   There have hardly been any interviews in Denver since April so I'd be interested in hearing if they are going to start opening their doors to others.   Did you request emergency handling or are you at normal processing speed?

Still playing the waiting game here. I think we filed around August 12.

I filed/sent for EAD and i131 Renewal on August 28th and still haven't gotten a receipt back yet. Is it normal for these to be taking this long? Was expecting 1-3 weeks, but I know things have been crazy with USCIS the last 8 months. Is there any way to see if they received it besides getting that letter back from them?

I've been waiting since Oct 10 last year so we are at the same boat but it seems that Newark FO is taking June and July filers.  Wish we can receive notices in Oct or Nov.

Approved on the spot in Denver this morning! Feels like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. The interview was super easy and straight forward 🙂

Normal processing. My last interview was scheduled for March but got cancelled because of covid. Think they’re slowly catching up. There was hardly anyone there this morning though, they did a good job of keeping everyone socially distanced.

Congratulations.   And thanks for the report, I was hoping to hear they were very busy but it's good to hear they are working on regular applications again.

Hello,

Our FO = Los Angeles Field Office

Priority date = in August 2019

Waiting for our interview to be rescheduled (the original one was supposed to be in April 2020, but it was canceled in March due to COVID-19).

Does anyone know of a WhatsApp/GroupMe/Facebook group for filers of Los Angeles Field Office?

Best wishes.

Not specific to the LA FO (it's for the whole of CA), but they might be able to point you in the right direction.
