We had our AOS interview on Wednesday.  The officer didn’t tell us if we are approved or not. They gave us a letter that says they will review everything. When we got home I checked the case and it said approved!! 🎉🎉🎉 so happy to be done with USCIS for a while!

Hi Congratz! How long it took for the interview? Any specific questions they asked?

It took 2 hours (1 hour wait, 1 hour interviewing). She went through the packet and verified some of the information(birthdate, mothers name, etc.). They asked some of the questions about communism, military, drug trafficking, polygamy from the 485 packet. They asked when we were married, about the wedding. They asked for original paperwork (marriage certificate, birth certificate). They asked for photos, proof of bonafide marriage. They kept the proof, so make sure to have copies.

Feb 13th: Our case is ready to be scheduled for interview
Feb 14th: New card is being produced for EAD

After I called them last week and had a bad experience with the rep; maybe they did got a chance to take a look at our case and start working again. I waited almost 4 months since they received my RFIE on 10/28/19.

thanks for the info. on the interview notice we need to bring along Petitioner’s Birth Certificate AND Evidence of US Citizenship. My husband doesn’t have Birth Certificate. Is this compulsory?
