For those who spouse already has a SSN, when you do your taxes this year, do you plan to file Joint, married but filing separately or head of household?

I think it depends on how independent you are.

I wont file join taxes with my husband.

I think the US needs to modernize in many aspects with the inmigration process, and not all couples want to merge finances.

And that is fine.

How long does it take for the EAD card to arrive in the mail? I’m suppose to be starting work on Monday next week.

· I am based in Boston, EAD took three days to arrive.

Anyone know if I can get a MASS ID with notice of action I797 for my EAD card? Only wondering because I start work next week and my card hasn’t arrived yet so I wanted to try go today and get a ID card sorted.

Did your case status change to Card was mailed to you? Mines currently sitting at case was approved.

I had card is being produced, then case was approved, then card has been mailed, then USPS is delivering your card and they sent me the tracking number and then I got the card 2 days after receiving the tracking number, after that it was the weekend then Marten Luther King Jr's day so I got the SSN by Tuesday!

Has anyone gotten a permanent resident card without having to interview lately? I’ve heard this can happen. My husband called and the USCIS officer told him he would have his permanent resident card approval/denial within 30 days but we haven’t interviewed nor even gotten his EAD. We live in NYC where the waits are >18 months so not holding our breath...

for those who received their cards for EAD and AP first, how long did it take for them to schedule your interview from the time you received your combo cards? thank you 😊❤️
