Hey guys!! My fiancé and I just filed at the Texas lockbox center on 8/26/2019 I received a text that my case was received with a number as well as my filing fee was taken out of my account. Does that mean they accepted it? I know that it can be accepted or rejected at this point.

They usually do not reject your application at this point unless you are missing very important documents (so that it looks like an incomplete "placeholder" petition) or if you send them the wrong amount of money.

Congrats, you have started your K-1 journey. It will take a couple more months for the petition to be adjudicated and approved. I highly suggest you read the guides on this site, they are incredibly helpful when it comes to what to expect next.

If you received a text with the receipt number, then yes it was accepted. Now the wait for NOA2 begins.

I (my husband) went through the K-1 process in Morocco as well, feel free to message me if you have any specific questions about the Casablanca consulate.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

and read the portal for Morocco by clicking on the portal guide above/  read the embassy reviews

there is so much you need to know about the process and the interview at Casa embassy

so, ask questions (even silly ones)

keep informed and know K1 is hard to receive at this embassy (only 6 approved in June but 17 in May))

if you prepare well for the interview and stay keep Tarik positive

he needs to be very confident when going into that interview

for the process, itself, there are VJ members with tons of experience

but for the Casa embassy and interview,  your best advice will come from Morocco members

I agree.  We were approved on July 23rd.  You have to be prepared and be confident.  If you have any questions you can ask me also.  You have a lot of time to get prepared being I see you just received the NOA1.  The NOA2 should take 4 to 5 months if nothing is missing from the petition.  Good luck
