It’s crazy how it’s not even saying my case was approved even though we got approved on the 2nd of July hmmm

Mine still says the same too. We received approval over the phone on the 18th but nothing has changed on my app either

Hi, I received notification of I 130 approval over the phone on the 18th July. I still havent received my NOA2 in the mail and have not received any email/s confirming the approval. My USCIS online account shows the approval however. Should I call NVC to see if they have received my case yet or am I just being impatient?

TIA :)

Your USCIS Case Status will change to reflect when it was sent to the NVC. It will say something along the lines of "On XX Date, your case was forwarded to the National Visa Center for processing". It takes about 1 week from this date for the NVC to receive the petition, and another 5-7 weeks to receive your case #.

Got my NVC number today, few minutes ago actually.

Thought I'd provide an update on my situation if there's anyone out there comparing and estimating.

Centre/Center: Texas, SRC number.

Visa: CR-1

Country: United Kingdom (Scotland)

Spouse is a US Citizen.

  • 2018-11-07 - Marriage.
  • 2018-12-12 - I-130 mailed.
  • 2018-12-14 - Priority Date.
  • 2018-12-24 - NOA1 received.
  • 2018-12-28 - Filed to change the Date of Birth for the Petitioner on the NOA1 as it was off by one year. Guessing a data entry mistake on the part of USCIS.
  • 2019-01-15 - Date of Birth changed.
  • 2019-07-03 - Actual Approval date.
  • 2019-07-05 - Date I received an email notification about the approval.
  • 2019-07-09 - Case sent to NVC. Received approval/NOA2 letter in mail.
  • 2019-07-16 - NVC received case - I called them to confirm this and get the date they received it.
  • 2019-08-07 - NVC case number created. dissecting the number it looks like it was created yesterday. Can't login yet, can take up to 72 hours. Going to try every so often.

I was eventually able to login and pay both fees around 06:00 BST (GMT+1) I received the email with the case number around 18:56 BST (GMT+1)

thank you. Mine took little over 2 days, it was updated last evening.

Is it enough to upload tax return for financial evidence or W-2 is a requirement also?

It's recommended you upload IRS tax transcripts, as they are actual proof that the petitioner has submitted taxes. You may upload tax returns but W-2s are required with them.

If you upload tax transcripts and the sponsor(s) of your case has filed "married filing jointly," w-2's must be uploaded as well
