Thankyou, Our case got approved around 10th July, got sent around 13th July, We called them  two weeks back they said, they were on the stage  of assiging a case number, my wife forgot to ask when it was recieved, and now we havent recieved anything yet, we are getting worried.

I would call them again and ask when they received your case.

Per NVC rep as of Today, August 26th they are verifying documents submitted on July 15th 2019.

They are so behind 🙁

Their site says July 19. It was July 15 last week though. They advanced only 4 days in a week. 😕 They are really overwhelmed with petitions.

Or understaffed one of the two. Clearly they are behind because their hours changed from 9 am to 9 pm to 7 am - 12 am.

Waiting can get overwhelming 😔

Hello everyone! We were just approved (literally only a few days ago) so we're still waiting for our petition to be forwarded, etc, but I'm already working on collecting my final documents and wanted to see if anyone here has any input on a question I posed a while ago about if I need to get a new birth certificate or not. I originally posted it in the Canada forum because it's a Canadian birth certificate, but it's not really a question that only Canadians can answer (since it's about if the NVC will accept it or if they'll ask for a clearer copy) so I hope it's ok that I'm linking to it here!

Basically, my birth certificate is a certified copy of their record (I'm assuming microfiche or something like that) that is contained within a official document, sort of like a frame. The document "frame" itself is perfectly clear, but the scan in the middle containing my actual birth information is pretty bad in places. There are pictures in the original thread that illustrates the difference.

I don't know if the NVC will accept this as is or if they're going to reject it for not being readable. I can try to get another birth certificate but it's a hassle (lack of a guarantor, moved, etc) and I'm not sure that what I'd get would be any better. If anyone could weigh in on this it would be very much appreciated!

Original thread:

I think that they are just telling people whatever date they last post that they are working on because I submitted documents on July 19 and they reviewed them last week sometime. I got one rejected and after calling over and over and speaking to maybe 100 different ppl they finally review what I just submitted and got all documents accepted today

Well just a few months ago, in April/May, they were reviewing documents within the same week they were uploaded. I don't believe they have less staff now. But USCIS has been approving petitions at a much faster pace over the summer and now NVC is getting severely backlogged. No wonder they changed their hours. I can imagine people calling 30 times in a row to ask what's their case number (?!?!).

Got my DQ Today. Resubmit july 19, and was on supervisor review. And on August 17, i realized that forgot to submit another document-w2 form. And resubmitted on the same day.i thought it would take another 3 weeks if not more, but luckily today everything  was  accepted. I hope Embassy process will be faster, i was here on NVC since May. Good luck to u all🍾🥂

Sometimes I wonder if that means that the more they touch your case the quicker they will review. I got a case assignment within three weeks because I literally called everyday.

I submitted my docs on the 14th and I wish that I’d  were lucky enough to get it review quickly like some people I’ve seen here that submitted and the next day they were reviewed.

I had surgery after a foot trauma and thinking of being home alone without hubby just triggers my anxiety but nvc doesn't care!

I received two message: one about status change and the other documentarily qualified. Or on ceac just go to the messages, what does the latest one says? Keep clicking that message until it shows it. There it says DQ

I agree they are just spouting the words from the website. I am waiting just for my husband's passport to be reviewed because it needed to be rotated. How did calling a lot help? I called last week and they just basically read the website to me. Did you ask for a supervisor's review?!

Yea I  was very persistent hung up call back again until I got someone who was able to help me some people love to do what they’re doing and some people love to just get paid I found people would love to do what they were doing and were able to give me accurate information and get me to a supervisor who love to do what they were doing FYI Most importantly I prayed before I called and asked God to get me someone who would listen

Wow. I had to wait 1.5 hours to reach someone last week. How did you even get ahold of two people?!
