Finally got DQ email today! So I got 2 emails. One said to check ceac I have a message and the other says notice regarding your case becoming documentarily qualified. The message in ceac was just to say the same.

Case received: 29 May

Case number: 14 June

First submission: 23 June

Resubmission: 18 July

Case escalated to supervisor: 9 August

CC: 19 August!!!

So about 6 business days after escalating to supervisor for me to hear back. They are working on cases submitted 15 July now so I don’t know if it’s just within normal timeline or if escalating to supervisor helped but I’m thinking it didn’t hurt. Super happy!

Congrats! You give me hope to hear something this week!

We are eagerly awaiting Case Complete! We submitted all our documents on July 3rd. We heard back on July 29th that we needed to resubmit ONE document. We had sent my husband's passport with the text reading vertically instead of horizontally. We resubmitted within a few hours and we are still waiting for that one document to be cleared. The nice thing is that we know all our other documents were accepted! It's virtually impossible to tell how the next steps will go time wise as my husband is from North Macedonia, so I can't find anyone dealing with our embassy recently. Good luck to everyone!

Received my "documents qualified" email today! Submitted civil docs and ds260 on 08/14 and AOS docs on 08/16. Received an email yesterday 08/19 that an update as been made on our case and noticed "submitted" changed to "accepted" for both AOS and civil docs and today 08/20, received another email saying documents qualified.

I'm not really sure why our documents were looked at and reviewed so quickly but it just shows to make sure you submit everything right the first time! Good luck to everyone else!

That was incredibly quick - did you upload documents through CEAC or sent them by email?

Hi, my case was sent on June 12 to NVC. It was received June 19 (found this out by calling them). It is now August 15, and I still don't have a case number. I called today since it's past the 8 week mark they say it can take to get a case number (though I've seen many people here get them faster this same year). Still waiting with no number.

We have no case number after 5 weeks, I have seen people on this forum getting it within a week. Have you tried calling them? What to do they say ?

I have called numerous times, they won’t have any information until they have a case number for you so they will basically say you don’t yet have a number and then say it can take up to 8 weeks. The only thing they’ll be able to tell you until 8 weeks hits is whether they received your packer from USCIS and when.

Tomorrow is 9 weeks for me, I am still waiting. It was escalated to a supervisor without me asking for it after 8 weeks, which I’ve heard can make things go faster or slower so it’s a gamble. I’m not sure why some people get the number so fast and others not so much.

As a side note, I still think calling can be valuable even if they may not have information for you as I’ve seen people on VJ that never got their number via email or mail so they got it by calling.

I hope your case moves faster than mine. I know it’s a waiting game, but I’m very disheartened to be long last the estimated wait time at this point.

Thankyou for that. I understand it is almost same for me, It has been too long for both of us. waiting and waiting. It is sad and painful for me and wife . We both are waiting eagerly to get together. Long distance relationship are tough and at the same time this waiting for NVC to assign us a case number is something we both have to face. I hope you get your case number soon!!
