Thank you, this is very helpful! Yes, my wife was born in Ukraine and I just submitted an inquiry attaching a copy of her passport and explaining everything. Hopefully this won't delay our case.

Wow ur so quick)))) dont worry it does not have an effect on ur case, i thought the same thing as you. If ur inquiry is approved, u will get new case and invoice number with the same details u applied on ur old(current) account.

So my original document submission date was 7/24. After reading multiple peoples errors with W2’s, I decided to submit mine just in case to ensure they were there when the review came along. I just hit the 3 weeks & 1 day mark from my original submission so I called in to request a supervisor review. They informed me that it has NOT been 3 weeks because it goes by the most recent submission date. SO, just so everyone knows: they said w2s are pretty much always required, so if you have them I would submit them. The website is “wrong” and “they do not control the website”. Also, I cannot submit for supervisor review until three weeks have passed from my second submission date which is unfortunately way later than my original. I’m angry frustrated and annoyed but the representative I talked to was very informative and understanding so I can at least be grateful for that. I am sharing my knowledge though, when you add more documents IT DOES start the clock over!!

I think, no let me restate state that  I know for a fact NVC is giving people different information because  i’ve called myself and confirm that they go by the original date of submission as long as they haven’t started reviewing your documents. Let’s see what happens

hi i had the same issue my original submission date was july 18th. After a week i realized there was a mistake in my phone number. So on july 27 i submitted a page of I-864. I called NVC after three weeks and asked for supervisor review and found out that i still need to wait for another week as i submitted something on 27th.

I was so angry and frustrated.

Yea I mean I spoke to both a representative and a supervisor. The representative said if it had been three weeks she would have done whatever she could but it was out of her hands. She said she understands the frustration and apologized but reassured me she had worked there for 25 years. The supervisor I spoke to also confirmed that what she said was correct - nothing can be done until three weeks from the most recent submission. The documents I did submit were required so she said believe it or not I still did save myself some time but that the wait time used to be 11 weeks so the three weeks is “really nothing.”

Hello everyone!

Wonder if someone could help me with my questions:

I (the petitioner), am filing an i-864 for my (beneficiary). My current tax filing status is “Married Filing Separately”.

I am planning to submit 3 years tax transcript and recent pay stubs. Would those be sufficient? Or do I need to submit W2’s as well?

My brother (joint sponsor) Tax filing status: “Single”, is also submitting 3 years tax transcript and recent paystubs. Would he also need to submit W2’s?

Thank you in advanced!!

Hi everyone, our fees have been processed and I'm a little confused in what order I should do everything. Should I complete DS-260 until I have all the rest of the documents ready to process? Or can I complete the form, and have it process while I collect everything else that is needed?  We are only waiting on our joint sponsors financial papers.  And another question... we have the tax transcripts for the last 3 years, but not the W2s for the primary sponsor (my spouse's), are those absolutely necessary? We can't seem to find them.  Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Wow! I resubmitted 18 July and still waiting myself. I called at the 3 week mark and they escalated to a supervisor but that’s been a week ago too. I think since it’s summer they May be short staffed with people on vacations or something, who knows.

Hello,

I just looked at my transcripts and it says that I filed single on my 2018 transcripts.   Is this going to cause a problem??

I had the same thing and all docs were accepted without any issue for now 😆

To play it safe, I would attach all W2s for the last three years (better safe than sorry) this is what I did and all docs were accepted. Thank God.
