If I check the status tracker thing it says that and submit documents. But inside the dashboard thing where we submitted everything, it says at nvc in the top right corner.

Ahhhh ok then yes we are in the same boat

Hi, I have an approved I-130 NOA2, and my application is with NVC at the moment, like many of us,. Are we subjected to the self sufficent rule that is going to be passed in 60 days?

Same here. I’m still waiting on case number. Can you please elaborate on the self sufficient rule. Is this about the affidavit of support and public charges they are talking about?

Finally, finally USCIS sent a SMS that my case is now updated. Went to www.uscis.gov to learn that the case is sent to NVC. Alleluia! NOA2 of 07/09 (learned from the letter in the mail, as case was never updated online), sent to NVC on 8/13. I think to wait about 2 weeks to call NVC for the case number. Or is it too early?

congrats @portorusa, you're out of the Nebraska hole. I hear it takes a week to get to NVC and it takes another 3-4 weeks to get case numbers assigned. So you can call them next week to confirm if they have received it.

My case was sent to NVC AUG 12, so i will call next week to check if they have it, then the wait for case numbers begin!!

Yay! Congrats. This gives me hope as I was starting to get worried. We received our approval 07/15 through mail and no updates on our online accounts since the letter. I’m hoping we hear something soon.

Our case was approved in Texas on July 3, sent to NVC on July 16, received by NVC on July 24. I just received an email with our NVC Case Number and Invoice number.

Unfortunately NVC assigned our case to the wrong consulate in Madrid, Spain. My wife has moved back to Ukraine since I submitted the I-130. In March I sent a request to USCIS to change the consulate, but it looks like it didn't help.

Does anyone have any recent experience changing the consulate?

We have got our case number yesterday and super relieved and excited how quick it’s going. We applied in March 2019. I130 got approved in July 2019. Sent to nvc July 2019 and got case number yesterday to pay everything. We were not expecting it to go this quickly and now delaying to pay the next set of fees. Does anyone know how long London takes to look and set an appointment from when paid and done the next forms?

We had the same issue and changed the location from Moscow to Tashkent. Is ur wife born in Ukraine? U need a proof that ur wife is in Ukraine. Lets say, get her passport main page scanned and file an inquiry on nvc. Explain ur situation and upload her passport, case number and invoice number. It takes about 2 weeks to answer you. They changed my husbands right away without asking questions. And meanwhile, dont forget to make ur payments and upload ur docs to the ceac. Dont worry it wont affect ur case. Dont bother urselfy calling nvc, u can change the interview location only by filing an inquiry. Good luck!

Thank you, this is very helpful! Yes, my wife was born in Ukraine and I just submitted an inquiry attaching a copy of her passport and explaining everything. Hopefully this won't delay our case.
