I can't sleep.... I'm so worried...

Are you away in the states? It’s the hardest when you can’t help prepare the pack for him!

Received interview letter today, the NVC scheduled the interview for September 10th. My spouse's due date is September 13th. I need to contact the embassy for a quicker interview or delay the process after the baby is born. Any advice?

Some interesting stats for INDIA for FY 2019.

image.png.2c59b43b65a7c93e98e23a3c2b966485.png

The IR column includes IR1/IR2/CR1/CR2/IR5 cases.   On average about 250-300 cases per month cases were for IR1/CR1 and bulk of it was IR5.
Notice that F2 (all sub-categories included) for the year is less than 300.     I am surprised at the huge #'s for F3 & F4.

July numbers will tell us if the perceived F2A/F2B spike caused the CR1/IR1 cases to be backlogged.

Note:  This doesn't include any Adjustment of Status cases which wouldn't be processed in India anyways.

One other comment.   I don't believe these numbers include those who are undergoing AP or were refused...

Hi everyone I have my F2A interview on 30 August. My father’s tax preparer has e-filed 2018 tax return (1040) but my father still owes like $ 4,192 on the 1040 form.Sir I need my parents 2018 tax transcript. If they pay off the remaining directly at the local IRS office, will my parents be able to attain 2018 tax transcript before my interview date?Sir do they need to make a appointment for this prior to visiting the IRS office?IF so,How many days after making an appointment with the local IRS office,my parents can visit them?

If most recent taxes the actual filing forms (full 1040, W2, etc.) should be fine along with prior year transcripts. We have an extension for 2018 and are waiting for ITIN to issue so they can process our return so we submitted the extension approval letter, the full 1040, completed ITIN and all W2 statements. I don't believe they will be concerned whether the tax bill is paid in full as long as there is documentation of processing, acceptance and a payment plan in your parents case.

Likely at this time your best advice is to delay the process till your baby is born. You may not have anytime between then and now to have an earlier interview.
