I met Jamal while he was stationed in the uk with the airforce. We'd been dating for just over a year and we were on vacaction in Philly visiting his family when he asked me to move in with him. Although noone actually propsed, we both knew that we were going to get married! I lived with him for just under a year when his deployment to the UK ended and he was stationed in Arizona. I went out and stayed in Tucson for 2 months with him, 1 month after he left and thats when we started the K1 visa application. Had we not been in the transatlantic situation I know that we would not have married this early, but why wait? It was gonna happen in the end so in just over a month, I will be his wife and I couldnt be happier :)

We both joined an on-line mutual interest group in June 2001, and participated in the email forums and live chats then in September 2002, I joined a weekly meditation group he had started after the September 11 events and got to know him a bit better. In February 2003 I had computer problems and IMed him asking for help since I knew he worked with computers. We chatted for 5 hours that night - then the next night he IMed me and we chatted for another 6 hours. We chatted every night from then on, then started phone calls. We were 'in love' before we knew we were headed there and decided we needed to meet in person to see if it was just an 'on line' thing or not. He flew up in April and I picked him up at the airport - and in real was even better than on line. I flew down and visited him in Atlanta in May and he proposed. We submitted the I-129f in June 2003, and we continued to visit back and forth until our petition was approved in December. I got my visa in March, 2004, moved to the US in May 2004 and we got married in June 2004 - one year to the day exactly of our NOA1. Coming up to our third anniversary in another 9 days and still going strong!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

April 8 2006 - Met in a random Yahoo chatroom

We clicked instantly and talked daily on phone and IM chat. Got serious fast, but we just knew we were right for each other. Talked about marriage probably around July or August, but knew that we would really know for sure once we met face to face and had the same chemistry.

October 1, 2006 - We meet face to face in Orlando. He stays for a 3 week vacation.

Just as we thought, the chemistry was the same! He met my family and they loved him too.

October 18, 2006 - We got engaged!

November 1, 2006 - Started the K-1 process

January 13, 2007 - I go to London to meet his family for a two week vacation.

May 4, 2007 - Visa has been approved and he moves to Orlando for good!

May 18, 2007 - Made it official! We got married!

June 6, 2007 - Start the AOS process

I know that our relationship seems fast, but we spoke to each other for hours on a daily basis for MONTHS. We discussed topic we could think of. We know each other better than anyone. I have no doubt that we are right for each other!

I met my boyfriend in Feb 2005 in Jersey (He was my cousin's roommate at the time)

That summer we saw each other 4 more times for a week or two every visit

we started dating officially that July.

Since then I've seen him every month or two and we'll be going on two years next month =)

We talk every day and fall asleep on the phone together every night (unlimited North America calling plan =)

oh, and he proposed Valentine's day this year over dinner at a lovely seafood restaurant.. Even called my parents in Toronto during his workday a few days before to ask their permission!
