Perfect analysis.  The Dems have to own this.  I wonder when President Trump will pivot to San Francisco, or Seattle with their stunning Democrat "leadership".

In my opinion, Cummings brought this upon himself.......Did you hear him yelling at the DHS chief about the conditions at the border 2 weeks ago?  While parts of his district are worse....  The big difference between Trump and other Presidents is that he strikes back......

And this baffles the Democrats, they are not used to someone calling them out, or pointing out their failures.  Hence the immediate response of the dreaded R word.

Establishment Republicans would prefer to "lose with honor" (= roll over/play dead).  Really refreshing to have a street-brawler show them how it should be/should have been done.

This baffles me as well. I may not be the most Conservative Republican because I do have more moderate views on many things but Republicans need to fight back instead of trying to "lose with honor"

Unfortunate that so much depends on Republicans who won't brawl alongside the President. After two years, so much more should have been accomplished. Two years of control of the House and Senate, and they couldn't even be bothered with building the southern wall, despite having all the power. Let us hope in this next election some Republicans with real spines will run against their spineless incumbents.

For some me reason, establishment Republicans think they need to make friends with the Leftist media and do whatever they can to not piss off the media.  These establishment types learn nothing from the likes of a John McCain who was adored by the media until of course he ran against Obama...

The media has room only for one darling, almost always a liberal. Conservatives don't win elections by courting the media, they do it as Mr. Trump discovered, by being a sledge hammer.
