I sent a request to remove my contingency on my card and did not have to interview. As long as you send sufficient evidence that your marriage is in fact real. For example, bank statements, tax returns, vehicle registrations, etc...

Not everyone is interviewed. Some are. Many aren't.

The flip side is be aware a small percentage get surprise home visits.  Not likely but while you have a better chance of no interview don’t assume anything.

Thanks,

We were interviewed together.  It was not stressful, mostly reviewing evidence provided, making copies of joint credit cards (a little more evidence he asked for) and (smart guy) he compared our house keys on our key rings I guess verifying we live together?  Approval email same day.

Thanks,

Hello from a Vietnamese applicant.

Note that not everyone will be interviewed, as long as you send them all the sufficient evidence you will not likely be interviewed. I guess usually they will separate the wife and husband in the interview if they suspect fraud, or they may even visit your home (it happens in my town, at least 2 cases that I know, they made surprise visit in the evening :(( ). Otherwise, just prepare all the sufficient evidence, and you'll be fine.
