I think you're right -- he's basically set himself up for it. I do NOT like him as a candidate but I am willing to listen to what he has to say for himself.

I am absolutely furious that he can swoop in out of nowhere and spend obscene amounts of money like this to get on the stage. Changing the rules like they just did is not acceptable. Steyer isn't going to be there and he has put in the time as well as the money. I'm already seeing online Bloomberg's paid army of "supporters" posting in comments sections. All the telltale signs are there that this isn't organic support that was just waiting to be tapped -- the same phrases and talking points are used again and again. These are Americans, I have no doubt about it, but Bloomberg has amassed an army of well paid staff to do this stuff. Just gross. I am seriously considering voting for Bernie in the CA primary even though he is not my first choice because I do NOT want Bloomberg.

Do you think warren will denounce bloomberg tomorrow? Or will it be an everybody vs. bernie. She has been tweeting about bloomberg and talking about his redline policies, but I am afraid she will not speak out against him on stage. Hopefully they all target him but I am not so sure. So very undemocratic for the "democratic party" to allow him in the debate and shun those who fairly competed. 

 

Its going to be bernie vs bloomberg in my opinion, especially in california.

Its going to be bernie vs bloomberg in my opinion, especially in california. 

I am sure she is going to go for him. The very obvious point to make about him vis-a-vis her platform is that to allow a deeply problematic billionaire to run the show is to allow the moneyed classes to say, people, we have decided what's right for you, and what's right for you is Bloomberg. Warren (and Bernie for that matter) is about power from the bottom up, and Bloomberg is about the imposition of power from above. No, no, no, no.

Um, why may I ask? We have all been posting in it for some time, every time a debate has happened. What has changed that we need to have a new thread for an ongoing topic?

It was a boring thread the day it started.  Nothing has really changed since that day.  (Except the minorities are out of the game)

 

Today, it's more old rich white guys promising to equalize income and give us more free stuff.  They should just claim unicorns farting rainbows.  That's always a cute promise.

Three points:

 

(1) It is boring to YOU.  I am a registered Democrat, as you well know. I am quite interested in how this progresses. Also, I have learned a lot from hearing those who aren't voting in these primaries about what they like and don't like about the candidates. I like to take in information from a variety of sources. For example, @Cyberfx1024 has been very active in this thread and I am not 100% sure he is voting in the NC primary, but I do enjoy his input. Yours too, ALFKAD. (I keep wanting to call you Alfie but I won't. )

 

(2) I notice that another thread on this topic (more or less) started today by another poster. No one has protested before about the existence of this thread. It is 100% on topic in terms of being a Current Event, and every time there's been a debate, we've been posting in it. It's an active thread.

 

(3) I believe as the OP I have to request that it be closed, unless it's violating TOS. And I don't think it is, and I don't want it closed.

1. I am a registered Republican and I am very interested in how this progresses as well. Yes, I did vote in fact vote for the primary election here in NC. I voted yesterday in fact.

I stupidly forgot that tomorrow is Wednesday because Monday was kind of like Sunday (if you're following me), and I booked a haircut for 5pm. 😢 Going to try to rearrange. Can't exactly watch when I'm getting a blowdry unless they have it on a screen I can view.
