I also have my spinach and artichoke dip and some hummus, lots of veggies and some "everything" crackers and a couple of different kinds of pate (duck liver and country), plus some Coulommiers and Camembert and some decent Cheddar and some herbed goat cheese. Also a pan of lasagne (veggie) that I made this morning to be warmed up and a frittata with bacon and gruyere going in the oven in about an hour and a half. Alex can't eat the lasagne even though he adores it because it doesn't adore him. Nightshade family is no good for him. 🤢

Vegetarian lasagne ughhhhhh.....

 

I do miss some good salsa. My neighbor would make some bomb ### salsa from Roma tomatoes and it was great. I always told her that if she found someone to distribute it then she would bank

I think it probably IS a do or die moment for Biden after Iowa. He is doing a much better job, I agree.

I prefer it with some Italian sausage but I wanted to make it so everyone can enjoy. Don't worry, not too many veggies in it. I don't like zucchini in it. Mostly mushrooms and spinach in there.

 

I love Roma tomatoes! I have to be super careful with how much of tomatoes/peppers/eggplant/etc. I put in things because of Alex. It's not like he has an anaphylactic reaction, it's just...... burpy. So I make sure he doesn't have to deal with it if I can avoid it, and I can avoid it.  I asked him what he wanted me to make for tonight, and he said, oh, nothing too fancy. How about a Beef Wellington, that's not hard, right? I gave him a hard stare, even though it's his birthday party.

Yeah to make good salsa you have to use Roma tomatoes because it is tastier. Her husband Johnny was the same way as Alex in regards to hummus. You know working on Glendale there are some killer Armenian, Mediterranean, and Persian food. He loved hummus but depending on where he got it from it would give him gastric issues.

I think bernie and biden did well. Steyer too at times. Buttigieg is unlikable, doesnt answer questions and will get CRUSHED on stage by trump, he looked like he was going to cry on stage when elizabeth warren attacked him. He cannot handle pressure

So let me get this straight - Bernie Sanders supports the Federal Reserve's cheap money and low interest rate policy, but at the same time keeps yapping on about inequality. Totally ignoring the fact the FED is the #1 cause of this

I've caught up on the debate while a very hungover Al watched the St Johnstone v. Ayr match this morning. Is it just me or did Warren have a lot less time than usual? Also, not a gigantic Klobuchar fan but I think she did well. Buttigieg is terrible. He sounds like and composes himself like someone who is a product, not a person. Yuck. I am less impressed by Biden's performance at the end of this than I was in the beginning.

im not a big warren fan but yes they were very unfair with her speaking time. Klob did decent but I will never understand how in every debate she seems to get about the most speaking time, when she is nowhere near the front of the race. Buttigieg is terrible. Did you see the biden ad he released against him this morning? hope its the end of his campaign

I did not watch the debate, I heard it was almost three hours long, but I saw snippets, etc., Mayor Pete looked horrible, just a lot of talking points saying nothing.  I was also amazed at the silence when the moderators asked about a nominee who was also a Socialist.  From what I saw, it was a lot of walking on egg shells, and the rule of the day is no one could agree positively with anything President Trump did (I.e. the taking out of Soleimani), Bernie said he would be all about diplomacy, and let the State Department take care of everything.
