But this is what politicians do -- they fill the void as you say with a lot of filler so they can just keep talking, and to drill the ideas they're trying to communicate into their audience. Think of what Trump sounds like when he's at a rally. There's SO much repetition and SO much filler. Biden has mentioned the genuine tragedy of him losing his first wife and a child in an auto accident how many times? Sometimes it doesn't even seem relevant to what he's talking about. The whole point of the debates is to have the candidates on the stage to talk about their plans, and that's what she and Bernie and the rest of them are all doing.

She talks as much as any of the others on the stage. It's okay not to like her, but it's also important to realize her tactics aren't out of the norm for politicians as a class. :)

By the way, although I have donated to Warren, I have donated to almost every candidate on that stage last night. (Not Steyer.) I haven't made up my mind yet, so I'm saying the above not as a rabid Warren fan.

Also, I just want to make it clear that I'm not buying anyone's line about the disagreement between Warren and Sanders. It's my perception of what happened. I'm trying to imagine a universe in which people really put any weight on what Mika Brzezinski has to say about, well, anything.

I know that is what politicians do but she takes it to a new level. At least Trump usually makes it funny when he does something like. All the while Warren just keeps babbling on in professor speech that makes her look pretentious at best all while not saying actually anything. Which is infuriating to me because I just want to punch the tv whenever she comes on. But honestly she sealed the deal to her campaign with that Bernie bs last night

My recollection was that this is new, I do remember her in the Obama era, and my impression of her then was she did stand out from the swamp and I liked what she was trying to do, now it seems she may have been consumed by it.

Sorry, I don't find Trump funny at all. Frankly I find some of his speech patterns upsetting, like someone who doesn't know he's rambling. I like Warren, and I like a lot (but not all) of what she has to say and that she makes it fairly clear what she's talking about. We can disagree, I still like you plenty. :)

Speaking of speeches, Canada is apparently a popular speech place for Hillary and Obama, yet they can't give away tickets if they wanted:

Last I checked, topic was 6 upvotes, 39 downvotes.

Trump should start doing tours in Alberta, might be able to pluck it from Canada.

When you say you like Warren... is this all the time, or only when you're deep into a bottle of Bordeaux and can relate to her speech patterns on a more primal level?

I have to admit, I haven't watched her talk much, but drunk and disjointed are two words I'd use to describe her speech.

Have you ever seen a Trump Rally?

I did say I don't like everything she has to say. And I'm completely sober at the moment, standing in the checkout line at Vons.

I've never heard her sound drunk or disjointed. Repetitive, yes, as I think Bill mentioned. I'm not sold on a full jump feet first into Medicare for All, without any access to even private top up insurance, is a mistake, for example. I think a hybrid system, like most other countries that have figured this out, is a better way forward. But I'm not thrilled by the candidates who are considering that, in general. I'm still open to hearing more, from all the candidates.

She looks to be over excited, not drunk, too much caffeine?  Overdosing on Red Bull?

The last one in FL, I was working for.  Couldn't have gotten in anyway, because I'm not willing to go sit for 8+ hours to watch/listen  to ANY politician talk.

The rally was jam-packed, with thousands outside watching on monitors.

Sorry, I got my wimminz mixed up.  It was Pelosi who had the fake drunk videos going around.  I've never watched Warren talk for .ore than 10 seconds.

I had friends attend.  They didn't get front seats, but they got in at around 8 hours out.  Filled up PDQ after that they said.
