I just don't think the Democrat Party and their base will allow anyone who has an "I" next to their name represent them.

How are those Republican debates shaping up?😄

The whole handshake thing is just a thing that's being hyped up to make news of a pretty boring debate. Friends are allowed to disagree and not have things turn into a "feud" like we're being told it is. I've certainly disagreed with some of my closest friends and gotten snippy with them, even though I still love and respect them.

Thank you for saying that.

CNN is a left wing outlet and the host of the  debate?  That is quite a coup.

Yes, CNN is a left wing outlet.  Is that news to you?

Don't worry guys, CNN is a left wing outlet, so giving preferred Democrat candidates the questions ahead of time, or clearly favoring certain candidates and smearing others during debates is okay. Its a private company and they can meddle in elections as much as they like. Like, capitalism, free market, my body my choice, orange man bad, punch nazis, and stuff.

What I have often pondered, why do the Dems even have a primary?

She just pisses me off because she talks way to darn much for my liking. I am not trying to be sexist and I am sorry if it comes across as that way. But she comes across as someone who has nothing really to say so she is trying to fill the void by using varying degrees of word salad mixed in with something about a plan for this or that.

But this is what politicians do -- they fill the void as you say with a lot of filler so they can just keep talking, and to drill the ideas they're trying to communicate into their audience. Think of what Trump sounds like when he's at a rally. There's SO much repetition and SO much filler. Biden has mentioned the genuine tragedy of him losing his first wife and a child in an auto accident how many times? Sometimes it doesn't even seem relevant to what he's talking about. The whole point of the debates is to have the candidates on the stage to talk about their plans, and that's what she and Bernie and the rest of them are all doing.

She talks as much as any of the others on the stage. It's okay not to like her, but it's also important to realize her tactics aren't out of the norm for politicians as a class. :)

By the way, although I have donated to Warren, I have donated to almost every candidate on that stage last night. (Not Steyer.) I haven't made up my mind yet, so I'm saying the above not as a rabid Warren fan.

Also, I just want to make it clear that I'm not buying anyone's line about the disagreement between Warren and Sanders. It's my perception of what happened. I'm trying to imagine a universe in which people really put any weight on what Mika Brzezinski has to say about, well, anything.

So you want folks to follow what Mika says?  Having an NB moment?

By the way, it doesn't really matter for Bernie and Warren, they will be holed up in the Senate for the next 5-8 weeks thanks to Nancy, the Queen of Hearts.

The illusion of a democratic process (back in Nov/Dec I linked Century of the Self videos, explains the psychological research, manipulation, etc. dating back to Freud, MKUltra, Nazi experiments, and so on, giving people the illusion that they're carving out their own path, part of wider decisions as individuals, when really external influences concoct and execute methods of manipulating them in a certain direction that benefits those specific interests), but thankfully the left are increasingly justifying the DNC and media picking the Democrat candidates for them anyways, so at least they're simplifying!

If Steyer put his tie collection on the website, it would be a great gift for the MAGAs in your life. Not really a donation per se

Sorry, no respect for Warren after lying about being Native American. But obviously, all of this is just icing on the cake. I agree with many of you, why even have debates its obvious who CNN and whoever else want (Biden). And that person will be destroyed by trump. I was not someone who was the biggest trump supporter to begin with, but hes really starting to earn some points for at least saying it how it is after its obvious how these democratic candidates buy their spots in these debates. Only Bernie has my respect for at least staying true to his word for years (whether you agree with him or not).

Pretty much. Someone that would sit there, lie and monetize a minority's race is a scumbag, but it also speaks of the institutions that were/are equally using this moronically superficial and irrelevant method of qualitatively assessing candidates. But she isn't the only phony one there. The Dem field is full of it. From Beto's burger facade to Warren's beer drinking video, these people really have no connection to people they're catering to, and not just financially, but they don't know them whatsoever. But, despite that overt disconnect, the one and only key to keeping some semblance of interest is the "orange man bad" narrative. The formulated relationships (spawning from derangement) that have neocons converging with neoliberals (the leftist media), Hollywood, and the unhinged left is an interesting one to watch.
