Seemingly masochistic.

Nope. :) But he is a very kind, thoughtful and intelligent person, which makes me wonder what the hell he sees in her!

Not sure we have had a sister reference for at least a week.

Well, it irritates her even more when people don't talk about her. I like irritating her.

Thank you for thinking about me. The @laylalex did not work btw, surprised how many layla's we have on VJ.

I must admit I am surprised, not what I had understood to be her type of viewing. May I suggest in having a more suitable back up just in case? I think you mentioned that you have yet to make it through the Knight before Christmas.

Judging from the Radio the Bernie - Elizabeth situation may create a certain frisson this evening, but that can not be guaranteed.

Well, she likes rom-coms but she also is a big Warren supporter. She's been doing phone calls for Warren and has been trying to get me to come along with her now that I'm down her but I said I'm not settled on a candidate yet. Alex is a Bernie supporter (even if he can't vote or donate) so it will be... amusing to see how the "frisson" plays out in my apartment. :D

And no Knight Before Christmas -- I just can't. I tried! I can't.

The attorney is my childhood BFF who now lives very close by -- we are both in/nearby downtown SM. She is NOT part of the throuple! There is no throuple, unless Alex isn't telling me something... :P

I hear that the worst of the homeless population is near the pier here. I have seen far, far worse near where the ex lives in downtown LA (he is near the Seven Grand whiskey bar and Bottega Louie if you know where those are). Also, the homeless population in downtown SM (pretty much where I live) actually went down, unbelievably! By 19%.

Quote

The city’s homeless population hovered around 700 for several years before jumping 26 percent in 2017 to 921. However, the 2018 count only showed a four percent increase and the 2019 count, which was conducted in January, recorded a three percent bump to 985 people. City Council will be taking the data into account as it considers new funding for homeless outreach teams and replacing the Samoshel shelter at its meeting Tuesday.

The 2019 data shows a slight reduction in the number of people living on the streets and an increase in people living in their vehicles or in encampments. More people were staying in shelters and hospitals, and fewer were in jail.

About half of homeless individuals in Santa Monica live at the beach or downtown, but there were 19 percent fewer people living downtown than last year.

“There was a reduction in people living in the downtown core, which we feel is a reflection of our place-based engagement strategies,” said Margaret Willis, a human services administrator with the City of Santa Monica. “Different City agencies meet weekly to share data on hotspots and we have really focused our energy on the downtown area this year.”

Venice Beach is a nope -- I thought about it briefly to live, I kind of like the bohemian vibe there but it is definitely a place you will see people pooping in front of million dollar homes.

Well Scots do count as Foreign Nationals.

Sounds like I need to pass on my number.

Yes -- trust me, any money going towards political donations comes from an account with only my name on it. (We don't even have a joint account yet.)

Well, Jenn IS on the market right now if you are looking for someone to pass your number to. I assume that's what you mean? I mean, Alex is taken, sorry. :P
