I've had a small range on my property for a few years.  Weather will be nicer soon so will start shooting (and making the neighbors crazy) again soon.

Just picked up my first AR from my FFL yesterday,  Don't know why I needed it, but when liberals started saying they want to ban them or take them away I figured it was time to "pull the trigger".

Yeah I decided that I needed to doit. So I planned it out and created a small pistol and short tactical range for using my AK. It is not the best but it's ok right now. I spent a couple hours on Sunday doing rapid reload drills with the AK, which note to others that Tapco mags suck for doing this on AKs. I guess I got my neighbors to go out shooting as well since two different neighbors decided to start shooting as well I'm the middle of my drills.

If I take this job in Singapore that I have been offered then I plan on buying a couple ARs and one more AK to put in storage while I am gone.

Real nice and jealous here. I want my own too and have plans on building one but I also want my new kitchen with all the bells and whistles so...

I like the AK's but am well trained on the AR's since I was a weapons specialist in the Army (Who wasn't heh) and it was a natural move to the AR's when I left. On rapid loads do you use a rapid loader or do you rapid load by hand? And yes get a few more as the price is going to go way up with the air of confiscation happening. Every time when an Obama or so on talks about gun control the prices shoot up. They are great investments. That CZ I have was bought on 09/30/2005 for 388.00 and a new one now costs almost 650.00. Both AR's sold I am getting over double what I paid for them years ago and they are still a bargain from what the buyer would have paid for a new one. Just take care of them as I am sure anyone that has their own range does.

Talk about expensive guns, last year I got my wife the gun she had been longing for.  A Kimber 1911 sapphire pro 2.

A gorgeous gun.  More than twice the price of a CZ, but she was so happy.  Merry Christmas to my wife!

Yeah I like the ARs overall and I am used to those as well because of my time in the Marines. But when I decided to start looking for a gun in 2013 the prices for the ARs and their ammo were outrageous. So I decided to get the AK-47 and haven't looked back since. I totally agree that they are a great investment right now.

Kimbers are expensive but well made and fine weapons. She must have been happy indeed. I never owned one but have fired a few and like them a lot. Years ago I had started a shooting club and monthly we would get together at a range and shoot away and I got to try out many different weapons. It was fun and I enjoyed teaching the newbs how to shoot and techniques like breathing and stances to improve their shooting and get them to nice tight patterns.

We all could. When I was in a competition the breathing or lack of was maybe the most important part. Of course besides stance. Everything else was just practice.

The female card is of course the least desirable card in the pack to hold, until a man tells you it's not.
