Can you add me to your list, F2B, CC May 3/2019

Hey @Jamesd

Check out this discussion:

We're mostly F2A's waiting on Montreal in that discussion but your timeline will be more similar to ours than the K1's and CR1's, because their wait times are a lot faster than ours.

Hi everyone,

I submitted all civil documents on October 24, 2019. It looks like it’s closer, they are reviewing documents submitted on October 21, 2019. My case is not completed at the NVC (over 50 days ago) and I am waiting for an interview date to be assigned at the Montreal Embassy.  My visa category is I130 for alien relative. Is anyone in a similar situation?

When do you think, I will have the interview date. Maybe in January or February 2020.

 Thx,

Rochio

We submitted on the 29th so we're a little behind you. Right now it's on average 154 days from DQ to interview, so there's no chance you'll get an interview in January or February unless you expedite. We're expecting to interview around April or May, assuming we get DQ and none of our documents are rejected.

I saw that! Hope we get that IL very soon! My boss is quite happy but I am more then ready to move :0)

what's CC?

what's DQ?

My son's documents were reviewed and accepted by NVC on Nov-13-2019.

Should I expect an interview letter 3-4 months after that NVC date (of 11/13/2019)?

Does DQ means the milestone when NVC accepts all the documents submitted

Yes, DQ is when the NVC accepts your documents and you are officially in line for an interview. Based on your DQ date, you should get an interview letter in March for an April interview. However, Montreal is incredibly unpredictable so take that as you will!

CC = case complete

DQ = Documentarily qualified

CC=DQ

(the old term used to be case complete because the email from the NVC specifically stated, your case is complete at the NVC and is in line for an interview...)

P3 - packet 3 - not used by IR1/CR1.  It's the packet of items or checklist from the consulate or embassy or NVC requesting your documents.  NVC no longer sends a request for documents, however some embassies and consulates still do this for K1.

P4 - Packet 4 - Also known as IL or interview letter.  It's the letter from the NVC or consulate or embassy stating when your interview is (or that you can go ahead and schedule an interview in the case of K1)

I'm an F3  and wss DQ in July 2019 just waiting on interview letter for Montreal. I can't seem to find any other F3 Canadians to compare timeframes for.

Closest I've found was F2 and they waited 9 months for their interview letter after being DQ. (They were DQ in Feb 2019. Interview letter was November. interview was December).

Anyone have any idea when I might get my interview letter? Waited 6 months so far.

Thanks!
