Hello,

I am actually in the final steps in the DORA program and I am a little worried, so I am writing that for if any person can help me.

I had the DORA interview March 26 in Dallas, TX, everything was perfect, and then I had my fingerprints

appointment April 27.

So, my green card process should be almost done.

My problem is that when I check my case online in the USCIS website, it did not change since the interview, and I think I should have received any letter, or the online status should have changed when they took my fingerprints or something telling me that my fingerprints were approved by FBI or something like that, but I did not.

I am in panic that something wrong happened to my fingerprints.

Has any person any problem like that? Should I wait more time? Have your online status changed after the FP?

Thanks a lot

You do not get an email or case update showing that your fingerprints have cleared any checks.... if you are worried that your case is taking too long make an infopass appointment at your local office and they should be able to tell you how it is going....

I have the same problem. I filed via D.O.R.A. on April 2. My notice of action was dated April 12. My fingerprint appointment was on May 5. I have not heard from CIS since then. My online case status shows last update date as May 4, meaning it has not been updated since before I got my fingerprints taken. I also applied for EAD at the same time, and I have not heard anything on that either. It's starting to drive me crazy.

I am going through DORA in Oklahoma City and the same thing is happening with me.... I had my interview on March 21st, biometrics on April 27th and I was touched on April 30th...... nothing at all since then. I especially want my EAD and AP at least but I didn't even get a 70 day letter with regards to them so I'm not sure what is happening. I'm going to make an infopass appointment for the beginning of July and if by some miracle I get my Green Card before then I will just cancel the appt.......

Susan, what is a 70 day letter?

Apparently with DORA.... if they know by day 70 that they won't be able to process your case and have your Green Card to you in the 90 days...... they send out a letter, known as "the 70 day letter" to inform you of this and I guess they have an appointment date for you to go back in to file for your EAD and AP. As far as I understand from what I have read on here is they will approve them that same day as you have already waited over 70 days and that is the standard time it would have taken to get your EAD and AP if you would have filed for them with AOS. With the DORA program they don't have you file for your EAD and AP as getting your Green Card in 90 days or less would cover work authorization and travelling.

Is there anyone out there that has received the "70 day letter" that can inform us with regards to that?

Well, now I know for sure what a 70 day letter is because I got one today :crying: . The weird thing is that the letter said that I was eligible to apply for Employment Authorization. They have even scheduled appointment time for me in July. They also told me that I would have to get fingerprinted, and that I would receive my EAD in the mail 10 days after fingerprints. Well, I have already applied for my EAD the same time I applied for AOS!!!!! I even already got fingerprinted for it over a month ago!! What am I supposed to do now? I have made an infopass appointment to speak with an officer next Thursday. I'll bring my EAD NOA, my proof of fingerprints, and my 70 day letter. Maybe this will rattle their cage to issue me an EAD/

Hi ..We went thru DORA as well.We had our interview and approval back on Dec 21/06...Not really alot has happened since.Had fingerprints done Jan 18th ..LUD changed when they were done..Next got the famous 70 day letter and appointment date and time to go and pay and submitt application for EAD which at the time we also went right after and got fingerprints done the same day.In about 12 days we recieved the actual EAD card.since i recieved my EAD i have had no updates and not even a "touch" on our case.We just finished emailing local senator to see if she could possibly find out name check status..So we are still in the waiting game.Havent really grumbled to much about it as i see daily people who have been stuck in name check for 2 possibly 3 years..Guess the closer it gets to needing a renewal on it i might get a lil more iffy on status. The best thing is sit and wait and just take peace in knowing you at least have your feet in the door of the system.
