Hey,

So I had the k1 interview on the 17th of July, after 1 minute interview I got approved since they told me my application was perfect.

They told me I was gonna get the visa in 1 - 2 week, and until today 29th no updates on CEAC, still shows as ready... Another user of the forum got the interview the same day in Madrid and got his visa already a week ago...

I am already losing the money on the flight I got for the 1st of August... I'm quite surprised since they don't give me any update by phone or email...

Any suggestions?

Gracias.

You will just have to wait until the status changes to "issued" and you receive and verify the visa is correct........no one should ever make flight arrangements until after the visa is in hand...

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That's the price of making pre-mature arrangements......you will have 6 months from the time of your medical exam to travel......good luck.

Thanks for answering but I'm grown enough to be responsible of my own acts, not need of you coming to remind me. I'm just posting to know if someone else had the same timing and this situation.

Do you have a question?

Not for you, thanks. I will wait for someone else that experienced the same situation and can help me or guide into how did they acted.

You can do nothing until the visa is issued.......

What does the CEAC status say?

If it says “Administrative Processing” it means the visa is not issued yet and they are still processing it. Unfortunately there is no set timeline for this status. Could be a couple more days or weeks (or longer).

If it says “Issued” your visa has been issued and it should not be long until you have it.

Edit: sorry, I missed the part where you said the status is still “ready”

Yes, sorry I missed that in your initial post..

I would suggest trying to contact the Embassy to see what is happening. Maybe they will be able to provide you with some info. I would expect the status to at least show AP by now actually.

That’s about the only thing I could come up with..

Hope it will get resolved soon!

Oh man, that is frustrating..

Then I think it should be some more waiting and continuing to inform about the status. Pretty much what you have been doing so far so I’m not a great help I think!

No answer by email, by phone last Wednesday that every case is different and i didn't have yet 7 working days since the interview, but that happened already on Friday and that they don't really have any info of the application they just see that it's not issued yet.
