Buffalo NY Field Office Biometrics Walk-in

Hey everyone!

I am just wondering if anyone tried their biometrics walk-in a week earlier than the scheduled day in Buffalo, NY. 

We filed i485 based on k1 concurrently with i131 and i765. I would be very happy to hear about any experiences. 

 

Also I am wondering if anyone came there with a phone. The problem is that if a walk-in won’t work, at the day of appointment my husband will be at at work and nobody can help me with a lift, so I’ll need to call a cab, but I obviously need my phone for that. Do they have lockers or let you leave your phone with security when you come to your appointment?

From what I've read around the forum, it is very common for people to walk-in for biometrics, some even at a different ASC from the one assigned. 

Regarding security at those centers, it is minimal and they just ask you to turn off your phone.

Phone:  just silence and pocket/bag it

 

It really depends on the day and the field office.  New Orleans turns everyone without an appt away, Houston will do them on slow days.
