Yes I did see you, I was the guy in the black and white checkered shirt haha, small world indeed! Glad it went well :)

Did you get asked by a male sitting close to you which papers to fill out by chance? My fiancé says you look like the guy he asked. @Zoeeeeeee, he says he thinks he saw you also, if you were a gal that had dreads?

Oh yes, if I remember right his name was James. I sat right next to him :) Paperwork was a tad confusing!

What a shame you didn't know. When I went for my interview there was someone doing a spouse visa on this site who had his interview the same day so we arranged to meet up an hour or so before, get coffee and wait in line together.  He was done before me and waited for me, which was really nice.  I still keep in touch with him and his wife :) Actually I have maintained friendships, albeit online, with quite a few of the people who were waiting this out at the same time as we did.  It's also great to have people who understand the ups and downs when you've just moved to talk to.

I’m definitely going to do a shout out a couple of days before my interview, as in hindsight, would’ve been great to see a friendly face in that waiting room!

Yep, that was me - that’s definitely the benefit of having nearly knee-length locks - you’re super-easy to pick out (though I always joke that I’d be screwed if I was the guilty party in a line up) 😆. Hope he had an easy visit and got the all clear on everything!

I do remember you, you were sat to my left and the front of me at one point (I always find clothes to be easiest way to remember/identify people - so as soon as you said black/white shirt, it registered!).

It’s weird how stressed you feel, when they’re so nice and chilled out there - glad it’s over with now though!

Did you have the young male doctor with glasses? And more importantly, what did he do to your feet? 😂😂

I think when we talked about this before (or maybe to somebody else) I said I suspected Knightsbridge was letting Pertussis slide. They used to offer Tdap on their list of jabs and now they just offer Td and let it go at that because they can't do the pertussis. As long as you're signed off, I don't think any AOS bloke will question it.

😂🤣😳

We definitely had a conversation about this as it was pertussis I was stressing about too, as I appeared to have no record of it too.   I called Knightsbridge and they very nonchalantly told me it was fine, but I didn't take the risk and got the shot anyway as I was concerned at having an issue at AOS time.  Like Zoe I was informed when I got there I had it as a kid and had over done it with the vaccinations, but I was going the better safe then sorry route 😅

Well glad everyone's medical went smoothly even with the crazy weather causing travel issues.  I spoke to several people in my medical and at the interview whilst patiently waiting, seems none where from this lovely forum.  Onwards to the next stage, good luck 🙃

Soo true! I just couldn't wait for it to be over.

Have the same feelings about the interview. 😦

I did indeed have the male doctor, he was nice and quite talkative. I would like to say he gave me a pedicure but he just...squeezed them? 😂

It sounds like it was an exhausting day but I'm glad you made it there. I was sooo tired after we had ours and it was way less dramatic a day than you experienced. Hopefully it will be easier when you have your interview.

They're checking for any swelling. People with heart or liver disease may have fluid back-up in their legs, but it can also be a sign of infection or blood clots. They're also checking for nerve damage, or if you have ulcers (a sign of diabetes). He may have a foot fetish too.  😉

I did a foot mask the night before my medical, so my feet were looking rather lovely. If he does have a foot fetish, he missed a treat not giving them a squeeze 😂😂😂.
