I applied for n-400 for me and wife on 7/19.

For me - I got the biometric schedule status the next day

For my wife - I get the below message:

‘We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.’

It started with estimated time as 5 days and after day 0 the message appears.

 

Did anyone had a similar situation ?

The next stage, after filing, is for them to schedule your biometrics appointment. It looks like they estimated that your appointment would be scheduled within 5 days, but when it got to zero, because the letter wasn't generated yet, the message came up. 

I think this is an auto message if they anticipate action taken on your file and it gets to that day and nothing is updated. 

It is happening to a lot of people. Basically it means their estimate was out.  You'll probably hear back soon with an update and I'm certain it will be to let you know they have scheduled your bio appointment.
