Hi, my Fiancee is trying to fill out the DS-160 today, but she's not able to access https://ceac.state.gov . What's strange is that I'm able to access the site here in the US. Do you guys know if the site is down or if it is on maintenance?

What web browser is she using?   Maybe try a different browser.

Ya but you are next door ..

Hey on a side note, my wife past her Citizenship test yesterday. We are just waiting now for the swearing in ceremony. Do you think it worth $1,100 to get a N600 for my stepson. He will have a US passport that proves his citizenship but not any document like what the N600 will provide.

Yup, I even sent copy and pasted the correct URL.

Have her wait a few hours and try again.

Outstanding!   The interview/test is very quick and easy .. for those that study and prepare.  ;)

We had to drive to Memphis for the interview/test .. but the gal that did the interview for my wife arranged for her to take her oath at the courthouse in Greeneville so not too far from the house.

Nope I don't think spending $1,100 for the Naturalization Certificate is worth it in your step-son's case .. the passport is more than adequate evidence (get the passport card too).

Just an FYI if he were to join the armed forces he can get the N-600 for free ..  ;)

I'll have her try Firefox tomorrow.

Also, my Fiancee is not alone. Apparently, some regions were having the same issues.

CEAC had been having issues for months.     I would have thought they had it fixed by now.

The software is screwing up, the website doesn't load correctly when it does load.   They added more processes that are completed though CEAC and I think the new software wasn't quite ready for primetime.

Yikes! Well, worst case scenario is I have to fill out DS-160 for my Fiancee. But I hope the site goes up tomorrow (Philippine time) so we can get the ball rolling.

I finished my fiancé's DS-160 because the website kept having numerous problems and kicking her out. We just chatted while I did it.

We probably need to do the same thing then! Thanks for the tip!
