I know and understand the necessary Process and screening , I am neither against it but our claim about been Discriminated again is based on how the CO has behave during the interview . I was there in US embassy and watching people give their interview to same person, they were allowed to Ask question and share details , Documents to CO . But since i got up there ,she literally did not let me speak and didn't even bother to look at any evidence , she outright reject my Joint sponsor without even considering anything .. and than there were questions like this .

1) Why did you marry a American white girl ?

2) In Pakistan EVERYONE does Arrange marriage than why you do Love marriage ?

3) Did your brothers have Love or Arrange Marriages ?

4) Why do you think that you are Compatible with your partner ?

these questions are outright Racists and discriminatory .

Only the first question can come off that way but I do agree with the others the questions themselves are not discriminatory unless you were possibly denied for one of those reasons.  Sometimes those questions are asked because you're reply would be very helpful in their decision.   Although my husband was not asked those particular questions I know what his answers would have been.

My husband has always been attracted to white woman and when talking to his parents about marriage that was his biggest request.

My husband is one of 4, two of the siblings have love marriages that they chose on their own but it was agreed upon by the families which can also fall into the "arranged" category.  My husband and I also have a Love marriage but our families were very much involved in the process.  They know not all marriages in Pakistan are arranged but wanted to see your reaction.

Compatibility is asked to a lot of couples.  It is an extremely important question.   One thing about long distance relationships is communication is so much more important.  Its all you have.   Because you two would have had a deeper level of communication you should be able to answer in regards to your compatibility.  Our relationship is at a completely different level because we have had to learn how to make it work with communication alone at times.

How you answer these questions are very important.

They see so many cases a day and have seen many fraudulent cases in which have made it more difficult for others.   If your case mirrored any other case they have seen as fraudulent it would definitely persuade their view.

I do not agree that the long wait is due to background checks backlog makes more sense to me.   I think they are unfortunately understaffed and have a very large workload.

In regards to a WOM causing a petition to be returned due to background checks not being completed is a myth.  I have been reading cases for two years and have talked to several attorneys.  Anytime a case is returned after filing a WOM it is for certain reasons (not enough evidence of bonafide or something they may have noted from the interview or found afterwards)  you would receive a NOIR that you have the opportunity to rebut.  Still may not be the result you were hopeful to get but for some who are stuck in the AP purgatory any movement is better than none at all.

I had my Interview done on 12th December 2018, and the Consular officer was very friendly and nice to other people but she was very rude with me, Since my Wife is 21 year old Caucasian American born she was very suspicious about the marriage, despite providing everything we could , she rejected my brother in law ( also a Caucasian ) as my Joint sponsor , she did not let me speak properly , or let me ask any questions .. She did not even see any documents or Evidence i brought with me , she took 25 mins to conduct my interview and ask very stupid questions , later she give me piece of paper and mark 1) Joint sponsor 2) Additional Pictures 3) Chat History , which i provided in Feb 2019 , I also got a Questionnaire back in Feb for some Additional information which i sent the same day . Since than i haven't heard anything from them, every time i send an inquiry they just sent an automatically Generated Email by saying this ..

 Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for writing to our office.  Your immigrant visa case is refused for administrative processing, an integral part of the visa adjudication and issuance process that can neither be neither expedited nor waived. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict the amount of time the processing will take and timing varies based on the individual circumstances of each case.

Please be assured that we are aware of your concerns and will process the application to completion as quickly as possible, in accordance with U.S. laws.  We recognize that this process can be frustrating for applicants and regret any inconvenience.  The visa application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete.

Sincerely,

this is the standard email i get every time i send an online inquiry , I have no idea why its taking that long , they keep my Passport and they have it since 12th December 2018 . After some research me and my wife finds out that no one was put under AP for that long, and so we decided to do something about it, We Contacted my Wife's State Senator Lindsey Graham and explain everything to him , he say he will be responding to us soon, Also if the Senator can not do anything we are not planning to go for WOM , Writ of Mandamus .. Cause we both believe that the US embassy is been discriminatory towards us as my Wife is White Christian converted to Muslim , 21 years old , and I am 28 years old Muslim guy .

Does anyone have been put in AP for that long ? Please share your story with me so i can have an idea how long my AP will take .

They are not discriminating against you because of religion. I'm Catholic and 21 years older than my Muslim husband and he had no issues getting his visa. He was in AP for 9 weeks. Get in touch with the immigration liaison at your US senator's office and ask them to inquire for you. Pakistan is famous for having very long AP, my friend's husband was in AP for 2 and a half years and then he was denied.

The consular Officer job is to investigate the marriage, not raise a question on which skin color girl or boy you marry . It is not the business of US embassy whom I marry because in most of America you can even marry a boy, and if someone is actually delaying your process based on skin color , Gender  , sex or religion it falls into Racism or Discrimination . One don't have to be outright say racists things to be racist , your expression and behavior can easily express that .

as i mentioned in my OP that I was sitting close to these booths and i watch her take interviews of many other Pakistani women/girls , she was letting them ask questions , she let them show evidences etc but in my case she outright reject it Why ? my interview lasted 30 mins while all other interviews lasted around 10-15 mins at most . I responded all of her questions with honesty and how we meet , how we communicate and how we are compatible as best as from my memory , No way I would be able to remember things ( exact details ) from 2 years ago . But she keep asking me questions and i keep answering without any hesitant .

and if these CO are working in Pakistan I am sure they have all the knowledge about Pakistani culture, and so she should know that more than half of Pakistani's do love marriages , and she knows that in Pakistani marriages normally there are around 200-300 people . So the argument that they might not know the culture is false, they even know Urdu ,Punjabi and Pashtoo .

She or any CO has no reason to ask for spouse Religion and skin color when non of that information is on the Spouse Passport, you ask them just to generalize how to deal with this particular case .

How long you and your husband/Wife has been waiting for your visa ? are you still on AP and what is your visa Category ?

There is no Religious requirement to get married in US as per US laws, even US Passport doesn't mention the religion of person . So if a delay is coming because of religion or skin color it falls into discrimination . Yeah it might be true that because of fake marriages they are cautious and take extra time , but How i am suppose to know that the documents they ask for have reach US embassy when i am not even getting a Confirmation email ?

The main issue is Security concerns.

Sounds like once AP is completed you will be good to go.
