I should be receiving my NOA2 in the next few weeks and want to prepared for all of the additional documentation that I need to prepare. One of the things that I will need is the letter from various banks stating how much funds I have. I am concerned that if I get them too early then they will be no good when presented to the Embassy at the interview because they will be dated several months in the past. What are people's opinions on when I should get this letter.

Thanks for your help.

Three years tax returns will carry the I-134 requirement, provided that you meet the minimum income.

Willian,

You didn't go with the statement from the bank?

No, it was not necessary, as my income was more than sufficient.

Edit: For spelling. Where is the spell ckeck option?

one more question

in fact, my fiance had also notarized the I-134 and he included his annual income, savings in bank, his real estate and other assets (eg. stocks and investment) in the I-134 form.

His annual income is far more than the 125% of the poverty line ... but we just wanna include as most as possible.

My worry is : Do we have to provide all supporting document for the items above ? eg. real estate and stocks in bank ?

or the letter from his company and letter from the bank (savings) will suffice ?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks !

Your worries are well founded. It is often a mistake to include extra documentation for exactly the reason you mention. The Consulate can ask for supporting documentation for anything you claim. If I were in your shoes, I would have the fiance send a new I-134 stating only the salary and support this with tax transcripts or complete tax returns inclucing W2 forms. The only thing I would add is a recent pay stub from his employer and possibly an employer letter indicating his salary and that his job is full time and permanent. If he's been at the same job for several years and the W2's and pay stub indicate as much, I would skip the employer letter too.
