Same here. I am out of town and tried to walk in yesterday but they told me to come back on the day. It wasn't a big deal for me though.

Nog big deal for me either, the office is only about 1.5 miles from the office.

I'll be applying for n-400 next month (3 yrs marriage and approved 1751). Anyone here from Virginia applied. ?I wanted to know how much processing time is it showing. And is it possible for a walkin biometrics as i will be travelling soon after applying. Also if anyone could share what documents are required to upload (apart from green card, us citizen passport, marriage certificate, bank statements showing joint financial statements, driver license showing same address, apartment lease ). Please let me know if anything important I am missing?

Thanks

Just did a walk-in at another ASC without any problems. They were very nice and made small talk with me. The officer looked at my GC photo and said he was cold just by looking at it. I was wearing a very thick winter jacket as a snow storm has just passed when I went to take the photo in 2016. I didn't feel rushed or like I was a bother. I enjoyed my visit.  They only took my index finger and my middle finger prints. He also took the photo for the naturalization cert. I was in and out in about 15 mins. Only 10 people were in front of me. There were 4 officers taking prints.

Thank you Binashi for your response. But I think my question maybe was not clear. I can apply for N400 starting on september 9, but I will be abroad from September 7 to 20. I really want to apply online on September 10 or 11, but not sure if I can access USCIS account from abroad and submit my application from there. If I can, is it going to be a problem to apply from abroad online? Or you think it’s better I wait until I come back after September 20 and apply while I am in the US? Thanks

You can access it from abroad online but I'm not sure if you will be able to input a future date because of the travel which will end on the 20th.
