Good and bad news for me. Saw my interview letter for October 30th on the website and it's in El Paso, Texas. I live in Colorado. The closest field office to me is in Denver, Colorado. I don't know why they scheduled an interview in El Paso, Texas. I called the USCIS number and they were also surprised. They said they are gonna have to send an email to the El Paso field office to transfer my file to Denver field office. Process usually takes 2 weeks. I will call them back in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.

I think this is an error.  The idea of transferring cases is to reduce the wait times for people whose local office has a high volume.  You can see that El Paso TX has a much longer waiting time than Denver.  That policy has also been in place for 4 months and I have not heard of anyone else having an interview at an office so far from their home.

well, good luck! any word on how they will handle your pending ROC?

They typically will not mention or reference another case. Best bet is to prepare for a "combo" interview. Take as much docs as possible with you.  Goodluck

Hello all, i will be filing my N400 this week. I was eligible since Apr 7, 2019 but didn't do it since I had to wait for my ROC to be approved first  and got my 10 year green card on Aug 7th.

By the way, anyone here who traveled outside the US within 3 months before filing for citizenship? I was in Europe from Sept 3-17, (15 days).

Thanks

I received a notice today saying my interview has been "De-scheduled" due to unforeseen circumstances.  Expected case completion is now April 2020. It was December 2019.

Guess they're trying to move you back to Denver and not El paso...

That is correct. I called and was told my case is in transit to Denver. Looks like the mix up had to do with how they read my address. I filled out "El Paso" county as part of my address ( along with city, state and zip code).

Yes i guess that's  the reason why. you should be getting another interview very soon. My own county is Arapahoe and guess they dont screw up mine when the time comes hahaha. Really cant wait.
